I decided to hang a "goal" outfit in plain sight so that I can continue to have focus on why I am changing my habits.  I have posted one particular "goal" outfit in my gallery since I could not figure out how to post it here in this thread.  Right now I'm a size 20 and 5'10 and 258 lbs.  This outfit is a pair of lower-cut flare leg jeans in size 15/17 and a really cute halter top with beads and flowy material.  I think if I can get down to around 200 I can fit into this outfit.  If not, then perhaps 190.  To me it is a great Club / Vegas / Night Out outfit and I am making it a goal to fit into it one day down the road.  When I reach this goal, I'll choose another outfit to get into with additional weight loss.

I'm hanging it in my home office so that I can see it most days of the week when I'm on the computer in the early morning and when I'm not traveling.

I bought this outfit a while back.  I never fit into them to begin with, they are both new and never worn.  I think I was around 220 when I first purchased the clothes, thinking that I just needed to lose some weight but that never happened.  I ended up gaining 40 more, ugg.  Obviously, I wasn't really that motivated.  I feel that I am now.

What do your "goal" outfits look like?

My goal is to fit into my old clothes which are mediums so I have more of a variety to wear and don't want to buy new clothes. I would rather spend my money on food and rent than new clothes, but I'm starting to have clothes that don't really fit me (^college student).

Good Luck on your goals.

just something simple: a good pair of jeans (size 6), and a classic black turtleneck.  i'm a child of the 70s, and sabrina was my favourite angel.
that's a really cute outfit! good luck!!

jeans, t-shirt, hoodie...

same thing i wear now...just want to look better in 'em.

That halter top is really adorable mykanosdelight.  I wish you the best of everything in slimming down and meeting your goals!  :)

My goal clothes were a pair of jeans that I had from about 3 or 4 years ago.  They are now large on me and now I really don't have a goal outfit.  I guess, my goal now is to feel confident in the bikini I have for Vegas this week.  So, not so much the clothing as how I feel in it.

Please post pics of yourself in that outfit when you get there!  It will be such an accomplishment for you and I'm sure it's going to make you feel real good!

My goal is my evening gown for my pageant (pictures in my gallery). It's not until October that I need to wear it, but I want to get up on that as soon as possible! Also, the dress is the same size that I got down to last year, before I stopped exercising and dieting. I really REALLY want to get to the point that I have to get it altered, and taken in because I just lost that much!

Another goal is similar to tatjanaturtle: To wear my swim suit on stage with the most confidence I can! I'm going to be standing up on stage in front of 600-700 people and I don't want to be all Pillsbury Dough-boy like last year (please check gallery). So I'm working hard to have the best body I can have and to be in the best state of mind as possible so I can be fit and confident for this pageant!

Good luck to you all!

I want to wear the jeans I wear now except not so tight I can barely sit down in them.
getting into my high schools clothes would be great.... eventually my mother's wedding dress or skinny jeans...

I don't know if everyone else thinks that they are absolutely ugly or not, but I would love to be able to look good in a sweater dress, like the one shown here:

I know I would probably never actually wear one, but if I were to look good in something as form-fitting as this, that would mean I don't have any weird bulges, so I would look just as good in anything else I would like to wear.

Also, I've always wanted to look good in summer dresses, but because my arms are so wide and soft, they've never really looked that good on me.

Kaptain9, that sweater dress is HOT!!!  I would totally agree with you on being able to wear it as a great goal.  If you can look good in THAT, you can look good in anything!

skinny jeans.. even though i wear them just about every single day, i wish i actually looked good in them! maybe a goal outfit would be a smaller size.. i'd also like to be able to go to the beach without wearing boardies. i feel self-concious enough with them!
The pair of size 8 Hilfiger jeans that I met my husband in  :)
Mykanos, that halter top is adorable!

My original goal outfit was a pair of size 2 GAP jeans that I wore for a few months around the time when I met my DH; the anniversary of our first date is coming up this week, we'll have known each other for 6 years.

A few months before we met, I'd gotten laid off, meaning I had few $ for eating out, and plenty of time to exercise, so I got skinny without having to really think about it. One day my girlfriend pointed out to me that my pants were falling off of me, and took me shopping; that's when I bought the size 2 jeans. I was wearing them when my DH and I had our first date.

Flash forward a few months into dating him... he wined and dined me ... I gained a few pounds... and I couldn't fit in them. But I held on to them all these years!!

When I reached my goal a few months back, I tried them on again, figuring they would finally fit me. 6 years ago these jeans were skin-tight (in a nice way). Now, they are TOO BIG!!!

What's more... they're kinda out of style. So I finally gave them up. :-)
First of all- you look wonderful!! I only hope I can look that good in a few years! :-) That outfit is going to look GREAT!! Let me know- I want to party in Vegas, hahahaha!

I just want to look great in shorts and a tank top. So I'm buying a pair of those short khaki ones that I *LOVE* and a cutie cute wife beater/halter top type thing. I do a lot of camping with my boyfriend and I just want to be able to wear less clothing when we're floating down the river in our kayak!! They are going to hang in my bedroom until they fit!!!
ive got my eye on a gorgeous green and black mini dress for when i reach my goal

I'm the maid of honor in a wedding at the end of March. The link to the dress is posted below, except ours are in the "tea rose" color. Mine is a size 14 and is a little tight, so by the wedding I won't be at my goal, but I hope to have lost alot! I wouldn't even mind having to bring it to get altered to my smaller physique! :)

I'm also going to the Endymion ball (I live near New Orleans, so Mardi Gras balls are a big deal!), and I have this great ballgown, and I'd love to look better in it! It fits, but I'd like to look stunning! :)

Ok so my HTML skills aren't working like I planned. lol. I just looked up how to put in a link, and obviously I was misinformed. :) So here's a link you can copy and paste to your address bar!

my goal is to be able to wear any cute mini dress and look really good in it.

i don't have a particular goal outfit yet, but i was planning on heading out next week to buy a goal dress for next new year's eve. in a MUCH smaller size.

oh, and shorts that are actually short! (not knee-length...i hate that!)

I fit into my goal dress, just not quite as well as I'd like to...I'd rather wear something else than wear it badly!

I bought it about a year ago off of e-bay.  It's a sexy red dress with slits up to mid thigh on both sides with gold beading all over.

Oooo I LOVE this post!!!

My goals: a pair of old jeans, size 6; a bikini (my first ever) that I bought last summer... it looked so cute then at the end of the season. Sigh, a wedding, a honeymoon, and one big Holiday later...

Good luck everyone!!
