I decided to hang a "goal" outfit in plain sight so that I can continue to have focus on why I am changing my habits.  I have posted one particular "goal" outfit in my gallery since I could not figure out how to post it here in this thread.  Right now I'm a size 20 and 5'10 and 258 lbs.  This outfit is a pair of lower-cut flare leg jeans in size 15/17 and a really cute halter top with beads and flowy material.  I think if I can get down to around 200 I can fit into this outfit.  If not, then perhaps 190.  To me it is a great Club / Vegas / Night Out outfit and I am making it a goal to fit into it one day down the road.  When I reach this goal, I'll choose another outfit to get into with additional weight loss.

I'm hanging it in my home office so that I can see it most days of the week when I'm on the computer in the early morning and when I'm not traveling.

I bought this outfit a while back.  I never fit into them to begin with, they are both new and never worn.  I think I was around 220 when I first purchased the clothes, thinking that I just needed to lose some weight but that never happened.  I ended up gaining 40 more, ugg.  Obviously, I wasn't really that motivated.  I feel that I am now.

What do your "goal" outfits look like?

I feel in love with a pair of jeans that i desperately want. Down in the sale from £250 to £90, trouble was they only had a 29" or a 26" left, and i need a 28 possibly a 27 at a tight squeeze.

I left the shop disappointed but i can still see the 26" on the maniquin opposite my office, so i figure if i get to 129 which is my aim this week then im going to go buy the 26" as my goal jeans.

They are amazing, long, skinny fit, low cut, navy with black leather piped edging.
Just like my screen name and avatar, I want to fit into a smaller jeans size. Right now, I can fit into size 14, but my goal is to reach size 9, or at least 10. I'm 5'8". When I weighed 130 pounds I wore size 9 jeans. That was 18 years ago! My goal is to wear the same sizes I wore at age 20.
mykanosdelight - I love that top!  that has been my goal for summer is to look good in tops similar to something like that.  I have one in all black but it looks terrible on me right now.

I would love to fit into a size 10 jeans.  Right now I'm a 14.

5'6" 143 lbs GW 130

My sister has a bunch of jeans that fit her when she was a bit bigger (size 6... I know, she was huge...Wink) I just bought my first pair of 8's this weekend. I can't wait to fit into all of those jeans she has. There are so many pairs. And of course I want to rock a super cute bikini at beach vacation this year! Outer Banks...look out!

Yikes, don't know if that link is going to work, but thats the suit I want. I will wait to buy until much closer to summer.

I just can't BUY the item that I'm shooting to fit in, it's the kiss of death for my efforts. I bought a pair of jeans in November that were tight and every time I tried them on, it made me feel worse. I can't ignore that the holidays were in there too but I've completely lost my momentum. Wish I'd left them in the store until they actually fit.

That's sort of a bummer post so I do want to say that I've really enjoyed seeing each of your goal items!

I like to buy my bikinis on the Victoria Secret clearance site.  It's so much cheaper and they usually have something with appeal.

What a fabulous idea! The article of clothing that I want to get back into is a pair of Citizen Jeans Size 31 (Size 10 in US). I have not been able to wear them in over a year. I think I may have to hang them up where I can see them, or perhaps I should actualy bring them to the gym with me for some motivation..hahaLaughing

Fitting into a new size is a great feeling and highly motivating...good luck to everyone!

I would like to fit back into a size 10 or 8.  I have a bunch of clothes that fit my body when I was 140 lbs.  But I don't like to buy clothes now, so I have basically 2 pairs of jeans that fit, and 7 t-shirts to get through the week.  I would love to just be able to fit in my old clothes again, and look like I tried to get ready that morning.

How can I make walking fun?

You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
