Goal Weights
So lets see who has similar goals...
What is your height/goal weight and how much do you have to go?
6"1 (185cm) and only 17.6kg (38lb) to go. That is a hell of a lot I know. But you know what, I am going to do it. I regard this as my last chance to do this while I am still young enough to work out.
I am not sure what I should weigh. For now I am aiming for 143, then I will see how everything "falls" into place..lol Eventually I may go down to 127 if it's seems sensible.
I am 5'3" and as of this morning I am 30.8 pounds away from my goal.
I'm 5'3 and my goal for now is 140 by my birthday (Feb. 5). At 165, that means I've got 25 pounds to go.

We are kinda similar ceptin i got 3 inches on you. My birthday is Feb 4th.
I'm 5.9 and 232 now, 1st goal to be 190..Then i'll setup next goal... 42pounds Can't be leave i let my self get to that. But i did.. So got to get rid of it!
Im 5'8 198 now. im setting small goals to start, and my first one is 180, but my ultimate goal is 148, so 50lbs to go.
I just joined and according to my BMI and goal wt. the site says I should expect to reach goal wt. by Feb. 2009 (or updated to Jan. 8, 2009)

I'm 5'7" and 162 lbs. I WILL be 143 pounds by sometime in early 2009!!!
I have a trip to Asia planned in March and I don't want to be fat and uncomfortable while traveling!!!
I've been part of calcount for a while. I'm 5'10" and around 150. I want to be at 135 by Feb.
I used to have a lot of self control, but I put on a few pounds and my motivation spiraled. Just need some support!
I also am trying to lose 25 lbs by Feb 28th. Now at 163-would like to hit 138 by 2/28/08. It is quite a struggle-but it is nice to know that others are going through the same battle!
My height is 5'1". I currently weigh 180, and my goal weight, to be reached or surpassed by March 09, is 140lbs. I don't think it's too ambitious to want to lose 40 lbs in 5 months. it'll be tough, especially because of all the holiday jazz, but I think I can do it, and if i don't get there, I can make a very good go of it!
I'm not seeing such harsh goals here at all. I'm seeing very realistic ones. they can be made even more realistic by breaking them down. Say, lose 10 by mid-October. that's not bad at all. And considering that it takes 10% of your current lost to see health benefits, that's good.
I have a lot to lose and wanted it gone awhile ago. But even watching my intake and increasing cardio substantially...I'm not losing 1 pound a week let alone 10 in a month. Am I missing something? I'm really into results. Please give me some feedback! Are you able to get such results and keep the weight off? I just went to dr for thyroid test - these results are slow.
way to go my goal dates jumps from march 09 to april 09 like clock work I lose 4 pounds then gain 2 water but still up goal date again grrrrrrrrrrrr I started at 155 was down to 126 yesterday back to 128 today waaaaaaaaaaa am trying to get to 103 I am 62 years old.
No I do not lose a pound a week either I lowered calories to 1200 - 1300 and walk a minimum of 7 miles a day was at 126 for almost a week before jumping back to 128 today. All I can say is don;t give up just stick with it and you will lose it. Good luck to you.
My height is 5' weigh 128 now trying to get to 103 25 more to go but have to accept I go up down up down weight log looks like a bouncing ball even though I drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day keep calories to 1200 - 1300 and walk walk walk evey day but water weight is to be expected as are plateaus. Best advice I have gotten just keep going do not give up and we will all make it.
