Goal Weights
So lets see who has similar goals...
What is your height/goal weight and how much do you have to go?

I'm 5'3 and my goal for now is 140 by my birthday (Feb. 5). At 165, that means I've got 25 pounds to go.
Wow that is similar to me, I am 5'2 and my goal is 130 by my birthday which is Feb. 5th as well. I have 27 pounds to go. It is really neat to see other people who's goal date is the same as mine. Great luck and good eating :)
I think some goals will be reached and some won't. As long as we have a goal & stick with the discipline, it won't matter when we get there. Also it is harder to lose when you weigh less so a slower loss rate should be expected.
I don't knowthe lower calories are such a great idea. I see some people with low calorie amounts, high exercise levels and they are still not losing. From what I understand this is due to too few calories and the metabolism slowing down. I am trying to figure it all out and the last thing I want is to feel deprived of food and still not lose weight. I eat an average of 1800 calories daily ( I zig-zag so some days are 2000 & some are 1400, but most are between 1700-1800) and I have been losing weight at a steady & slow pace which I hope continues. Each change can bring different challenges and to be successful we must keep learning and keep working at it.
Okay..
I'm 26, 5' 6 and 160.5 (grrr... have been eyeing the 150s for a while and willing the scale needle to go further down. It's getting there, but I want it now!) I've got general fitness goals, but to give myself a short-term goal I'm aiming for 130 by Feb 20th. I'm going to be wearing this costume -

-for carnival the week after my goal date. (!!!) Just making it to about 140 would be awesome, though. Good luck everyone!
I am 5' and 125 right now was trying for 103 but hubby says that would be too thin so shooting for 115 will see from there so 10 pounds to go started at 155 pounds 4 months ago so not doing too bad I think. So if I can do it so can you good luck all and keep up the good work even though it is hard at times. I am 62 years old and want to reach my goal by my birthday on March 14.
I am 5'10
I weigh 189 and goal is 150-155. So I have 34-39 more to go or whatever fits by rear into size 8 jeans. I wear a size 12 now and they are getting a bit loose.
Since I started weight training, the scales slowed down but I have some good muscle tone now and lost more inches. The payoff is worth it.
I'm 5' 5" tall and I currently weigh 155lbs and would like to get down to 135lb, so I have 20lbs to lose. I watch what I eat and my portions and I try to get in at least 30 minutes or cardio per day and 20 to 30 min of weight training or a specific DVD like salsa dancing, pilates or concentrated ab workouts...This is tough because I am a nurse and I have a husband and dog and at the end of the day there is very little time left for me...Getting up earlier is not an option as I'm already up at 5am every morning and I really value my sleep...:)

6"1 (185cm) and only 17.6kg (38lb) to go. That is a hell of a lot I know. But you know what, I am going to do it. I regard this as my last chance to do this while I am still young enough to work out.
I am 180 cm and I have 15kg to lose! What is your game plan? I tried everything. My goal is reaching my target by my birthday (10th Feb).
I'm 5'2" as well. I also weight 140....my goal is 125. That's the smallest I've been while still being healthy.
I'm 5'0" and my goal is 120 by my May wedding next year. So far I've lost almost 20 lbs and have about 35 left to go! I have engagement pictures in Feb. so my goal is to lose the weight by then and my first dress fitting. I've been counting calories, have a heart rate monitor to make sure I'm in a "cardio zone" and do at least 30 min of cardio in the morning and 1 hr of ballet when I get home. I hope I can keep up the momentum even when the school year gets busy. I'm a teacher so always trying to catch up with something. ![]()
What did you do to get it off in 4 months? I am currently at 155 and wanting to get down to at least 120 if not smaller, whatever my healthy weight is and my body looks good.

I walk every day hubby has started with me. we live in a large complex 4 laps is a mile and a half we do that 3 times a day 7 days a week and 5 days a week we take a walk of at least 3 miles on top of that. I also kept my calorie intake to 1200 calories a day, which was plenty I was never hungry, until I hit plateau and would not budge so I altered my calorie intake to 1600 to 1800 a day which is about 500 to 800 more than I take in every day seems to be working am losing again yay. Am having hard time eating 1800 calories though it is a lot of food. Good luck to you kathy
Hi, I'm new. I am 5'3" and i weight 146 today. My goal is to weigh 127 by the end of February.
I rotate between Power 90 and Slim in Six each morning and walk approximately 2 miles each afternoon or evening, whenever I can fit it in. I am doing this along with my husband.
I have lost about 15 pounds since January 2008 and need to continue. I have been stuck this summer around 145 - 150. I lose a few, gain a few. I need to get past this plateau and keep going down. I hope this site can help me continue toward my goal.
Good luck to everyone.
