hello all!

i'm  5'2" and have been holding at about 155 lbs for a while now. (i dropped about 30 lbs slowly over the past few years.) i'm looking to lose another 30-35 lbs more quickly over the next 4-6 months.

Hello Everyone!

I'm 45 years old, 5'6" tall and about 155 lbs. right now.  My goal weight is 139.  I'm supposed to be at 1700 calories a day, but I write down my calories and try to stick to 1400-1500.  Yesterday I was at about 2000 though.  My exercise consists of hiking mostly.  Yesterday the activity calculator said I burned 708 calories on my hike.  Hard to believe.  I have a hard time not eating at night when I watch t.v.  But I think if I stick to what I have been doing, I will will lose the weight faster, and reach my goal before February.  Mostly I want to make sure I keep it off.  Today I felt good because I discovered that when I'm sitting down the top roll of fat on my stomach isn't there.  And I've only lost about 3 lbs so far!

if you keep eating that few calories and burning that many calories you will not lose at all you body will go into starvation mode and start feeding on itself for fuel it is not healthy so please please do what they say to lose the weight.  I have lost 31 pounds and at around 128 i had hit a really long plauteau got information here i was keeping to 1200 calories a day and my body had gotten use to it so now i vary it day to day from 1200 to 1800 calories a day. If you are checking the exercise log you will know you burn calories from more than just hiking  such as sleeping and eating everything you burn calories just not as many an hour as vigorus exercise i may burn 500 or 600 in my exercise daily but going up and down stairs and every thing else the least i burn is 1900 usually 2200 to 2400 so with the varing i am now losing again only have 9 pounds to reach my goal of 115.  best of  luck to you.  kathy  kauikat@yahoo.com

I'm 5'5" and now I'm around 130ish. My goal is more like tone and eat less crap. I'm thinking it'll be around 115 once all is said and done. I just graduated college and  I didn't put on the freshman 15 but rather the college 20 so I think it's a realistic goal... Honestly the booze is what's got to go!

as long as u burn more than u take in u will lose however  i think 115 is too low for u i am at 120 have lost 35 pounds have 5 to go i am 5 feet tall and 120 looks good on me much lower than 115 will be too thin.  I did not give up anything just cut back on portions i eat cake cookies icecream anything i want just not every day and not as much u can have a drink a day they say it is healthy for us to have one drink no more. gl to u kathy

I'm 5'4 right now at 137ish...my goal is to be down to 120...but tone up majorly which may mean I add or maintain the weight...

I'm in a size 4-6 would like to get down to the 2-4 range...

I'm 5'8" and weigh 162 lbs, I am hoping to be 140 at the end of Feb 2009.  I have been with CC for 2 years and have lost 58 lbs.  I need a kick start to keep things going.  Wish me luck!

Hello!  I am set to lose 100 lbs by 11/22/10 but my first goal is to lose 10 lbs by 2/28/09.  CW is 230lbs....i feel like a walking blob.  Happy new year to me :)

Hi! I'm 5'4 and currently 153 lbs. I'm trying to get down to 140 by my birthday on Feb.16th. 13 lbs to go!

I may try to lose more after that but first I'll see how I feel at 140. I want to try and get my waist down to 32 inches or less because they say you're more likely for heart disease and other stuff if your waist is more than 32 inches.

good luck to you i know you can do it because i have.  i started at 155 last may trying for 115 as of today i hit 118 only 3 pounds to go.  all i did was start walking and cut my portions i try for at least 2200 calories burned and no more than 1500 calories taken in have not given up anything just eat less and am not hungry at all and most days have to make myself eat enough calories.  so keep up the good work and you will get there.  kathy -  kauikat@yahoo.com

Well im 5ft 9 and im 149, managed to drop 2 144 2 weeks ago but after christmas and lack of exersize i gained a bit again. Id idealy like to get down to 140 for feb the 19th. I do exersize 5 times a week and im cutting calories down to 1400 so hopefully i'l get there. Im in a very active job aswell so that should help. Good luck to everyone else!!

 Just wanted to let you know that you are at a pretty good weight already. I am 5"9 and 155 lbs which makes me slightly larger than you are. My goal is 145, shedding holiday weight, and I don't think that I need to go much lower than that. To each his own, and it's your body, but I think that you're at a great weight.

I am 170cm, and weight 62kg, would like to lose 17 kg, and reach 45kg. I cut all snacks, and do not eat after 5, drink plenty water and herbal tea, exersize 3 times a week, walk to work everyday,45mins each way.
