Today is June 30th. We all set goals at the begining of the month and I'm curious to see if anyone was able to accomplish them? Did you reach your goal? Why or why not? What are your goals this month? What are you going to do differently than you did last month to accomplish those goals?
I reached my goal! I made a goal to be 325lbs or less on the morning of June 30th. This morning I was 324.7! Yipee!!! That's 6.5lbs lost in a month. I didn't do very well on my calories or exercize however so I'm truly surprised that I was able to reach those goals. This month is going to be different! My July goals are listed below! What are yours? How can we help everyone out to accomplish these goals! This is summertime, let's do our best to make it amazing for everyone! GOOD LUCK!!!!
July 1st-July 31st goals
1. Stay below 2300 calories a day. (My 2200 isn't working, I ALWAYS go over so I'm raising it by 100 to see if it makes any difference)
2. Go to the Rec center every other day and work out at least 20 minutes.
3. Stop eating junk! That's the reason I go over my calories, and I have to stop!
4. Drink at least 3 quarts of water a day... (I have been seriously lacking in this!)
5. Keep the 500 calorie deficit no matter how many calories I eat
6. Weigh only once a week
7. July 31st weigh 318.2 lbs.

2. Go for a half an hour walk or more at least 3 times a week!!!
3. Weight 175 by July 31st!

GOALS, GOALS, GOALS!
1. Eat breakfast ( I absolutely hate eating breakfast, but I got up and ate this morning)
2. Eat between 1200 - 1500 calories daily
3. Exercise, Exercise, Exercise
4.Log calories no matter how bad of a day I have
5.Water, Water, and more Water
6.Lose 5 pounds before August 1
7.More strength training

Here are my goals.
1) Try to be capable of jogging 2 miles at whatever pace I can
2) Continue to try to eat enough protein so that my percentages are reasonably close to 50-30-20
3) Continue to make good healthy choices
4) Allow Slappy to Push me, no matter that it's going to hurt...

I did awful with my June goal of 8 lbs - I did not achieve it.
I have continued to make healthier diet choices and drinking lots of water.
I have upped my protein and I continually get A's on our daily scores, I stay under my calories.
I guess I have just hit a plateau after 10 lbs lost. This is very depressing since I need to lose another 60 lbs.
I guess my new goal will be to lose 5 lbs by the end of July.
I need to exercise - I keep starting but then I can't find time for it. Wish me luck this month.

2. Decrease carbs to under 60% for most days; increase protein.
3. Drink one pint of water between coffee and lunch.
4. Have meeting with fitness trainer.

Good luck everyone! Those goals sound not only reasonable, but VERY acheivable! We can all do it! We're all here for each other!

2. try and always get above 100g of protein every day
3. To run the mile without walking. I have not run the mile in 10 years, so we will see what happens.
4. Oh, my OTHER goal for july is have chicago pizza sometime durring the month. Yummy!

Yeah, I think it's not unfair to check in with this thread :) These are all great process-based goals. As utahangel says.. they're achievable! We can drink our water! We can eat our protein! We can make GOOD decisions!

I think it's a WONDERFUL idea to check back with this thread once a week. It's a way to keep everyone on track. Oh! My other goal for July, STOP OBSESSING OVER THE SCALE!!!! LOL

I did not hit my goal but I didn't think I would... The last few pounds are stubborn... and I have not weighed in a week.. Maybe monday I will find that I was closer to my 5 pound loss than I thought! I lost 3 not 5....
So this month I am going to let the pounds loose me on their own and not obsess.

* I will buy DDR and start using that as my workout on weekends since right now I only work out monday through thursday and nothing Fri Sat and Sun.
* I will try to be a better person and not let stupid people get to me, just let it go and not care.
Hopefully i can do this and loose some more weight!

I did well with my June goals. My goal was to lose 8 lb, and I lost 21 lb, LOL!! It was my first month and most of that was lost in the first week from water weight. I also just made it into the 200's this month. i weighed in at 298 this morning, YAY!

You know the term "losing weight" has always confused me... we didn't lose it! We know right where it is! LOL Anyway, that's the end of my sillyness for the day... no promises though...
I didn't set goals in June. Just found the site in first week and spent June getting to know the site adjusting eating from less than 1000 a day to C-C remmendation of 1450. I lost 7.8# so now the recommendation is 1350.

- Stick to the C-C recommeded calories (1350) - Doing good - caloires increased (1650) due to water aerobics - hard to get them all in but most days I do - Staying at 1450 on non-workout days.
- Lose 6-8# - As of 7/26/2006 -5.6#s!
- Drink at least 10 16 ounce bottles of water each day - Still not too good in this area
- Write in my journal everyday - Fair
- Establish an exercise schedule (signed up for Slappy's abs routine) - GOING TO Y WATER AEROBICS
- Work up to doing the Gazelle at least 10 minutes 4X a week - FAILING
- Get my B & O and Utility taxes done by the 15th (at work) - DONE!
- Collect 1.25M (at work) - This will be a stretch but I should be 100% for the month, if not YTD.

It's easy to say "Hey, I'm going to lose 8 lbs." but A) it leads to one-upmanship and B) Won't you be dissapointed if you CAN'T lose 8 lbs?
Listening to girls on this board, most girls should expect no more than 6 lb. loss per month and probably a week of plateau'ing.
BUT and SO if you concentrate on process-based goals: Exercising, Eating a certain number of calories, etc. - THOSE are wholly achievable :)
