Goals for Today & Did you accomplish them?

Hi everyone.  I thought it would be neat to start a topic on where we can post our goals for the day in the morning and then set a time for 9 pm to enter if we accomplished our goals or not.  This way we have a time limit to get those goals accomplished and we can see what everyone is doing?  I hope some of you will join me in this interesting topic.

I did it pretty much:)  I don't know exactly how much of my boyfriend's giant cookie I ate, so I guessed for that, but otherwise, I did it.  Yay, cool thread!

my goals are a short list today.   REason being today is my cleaning day, scrubbing the floors, etc.  so that will be a workout.  these are my goals:

drink 100 oz water

ride my bike

do abdominal leg circles

Congratulations Tammy (Mrs. Yooper) on reaching your goals yesterday and I hope you had a good day today. 

I don't think I'm going to succeed with 1200 net today because I ate too many fish crackers.  It's 8:00pm and I haven't eaten dinner, but my goal is just not to eat too many more calories today and to do some of my exercise video before I go to bed.  (I know it's kinda late, but I'm a night owl.)  I guess my goal will be to keep it under 1450 net. 

Hey kiddos, hope everyone had a great goal-reaching weekend! (yea...I'm terrible at this stuff on weekends...)

Goals for today:

2.5-3 nalgenes

30-60 min cardio later, including at least one round of intervals

an hour of yoga

go to sleep early!

HI everyone.  I did complete my goals yesterday yippie.  thanks pepper for the congrats :)  My goals for today are to:

drink 100 oz water

ride my bike

walk my dog

not eat more than 1200 calories and log my food intake better.

Congratulations on meeting your goals again Tammy!  BTW, what kind of dog do you have?  I think it would be nice to have a dog to walk with.  But I love my 2 cats, and I don't think they'd approve of a dog:)

Congratulations for posting some goals robyneg! I think that's halfway to achieving them anyway.

Well, I almost made it on Sunday, but I don't know what got into me and I ate too much ice cream before I went to bed.  I did my exercise video though.  And same thing today, I ate too many calories.  I'm glad I went to the gym and went on the treadmill though.  I registered for the Women on Weights class too, but found out it doesn't start until Sept.  

For tomorrow, my goal will be 1450 net calories again.  Posting on here ahead of time motivated me on Saturday, so maybe it'll work again tomorrow.
Hi Pepper.  I am glad this posting on here gave you motivation.  FOr me it does the same.  Congratulations on meeting your goals, eating the ice cream before bed is alright just try not to do it the next time you have icecream  :)  I heard it is better to eat after exercising because your metabolism is at its best.  that is great you registered for women on weights class, it sucks that is starts in sept, but now you can get motivated lose some weight before then and buy a new workout outfit  :)  that is what i would do.  :) 

 i did all mine except recording my food log.  I am bad at that I think i will buy a little notebood to keep in my purse or something so i can jot down everything i eat and at what time.  :)

I actually have 3 dogs and 1 cat, i am an animal lover  lol.  I have 2 pugs and a sheltie/jack mix.  My cat is a tabby.  My sheltie/jack is named lilly and she was born on my birthday and i got her for mother's day.  she is 5 months old.  I wanted  a dog you could walk, my poor pugs by the time we are at the end of the driveway they are exhausted and breathing hard and actually foaming at the mouth.  Now lilly she is just adorable and can walk and run forever.  lol  she keeps me busy.  you can see pictures of them at my personal website if you want:  http://www.yoopercrafts.com ;

I almost forgot to post my goals for today.  I am working until 36 today and then i have my class of crochet that i teach at 5 oclock.  I am giong to go home walk my dog, then I am going to ride my bike to class and of course ride it home.  that'll burn off the frappucinos i will be drinking there.  I have class at the coffee shop.  :)  I also will drink my 100 oz of water and log my food today.   :)  good luck everyone on your goals for today.

Tammy, I have a dog named Lily too! She's a standard poodle, and can also run forever. Love my puppies :)

From yesterday, I didn't have time to do my yoga :( I did do some intense cardio at the gym though, so that was good. And I stayed right around my calories for the day. My goals for today are to drink 2.5-3 nalgenes, do my yoga (and actually do it this time, no excuses!), and go to bed as early as possible, I'm tired!

good luck robyneg, and that is alright you didn't do your yoga, you did the other stuff that is all that matters :)  You have a dog named lily too., that is cool.  I am glad i got her he does make me feel guilty if i don't walk her.  lol  so she is a motivator too.   :) 


My goal today is to eat 1700 calories, go to swim practice, meet up with my friend (possibly for lunch) and eat healthy, as well as doing some ab workout.

Oh, and also to get myself busy by packing for school... woot!

I like this..   This is nice of you to take the interest and make us hold ourselves accountable...  Good Idea... I write them in my log but don't always be true to me... check in at 9:00pm is good idea ...  Goals:  calorie/portion control,  8 glasses of lemon water,  counter push-ups or stepper (30) before and after food intake..  Really appreciate the motivation!  ;-)

welcome waytomuch  good luck on your goals, we try to check in at 9 pm however some people including myself arent' able to exactly 9 so after 9 pm is fine or even the next day when you list your new goals.

Everyone I have decided to do something nice for you all if you are interested.  I love to crochet and I thought it would be a great idea to make you something small like a fridgie or coaster for those of you who post their goals every day for one month and of course post if they accomplished them.    I will start this today so each person that does it every day for a month will get a free surprise made by me.  This will for sure get some motivation going and encourage you all to come back and do your goal posting.  :)  I hope you all like this one.  I will do it each month.  :)  Limit 25 people.  Unfortuneately i will have to limit it to 25 people because i need to be able to make the stuff  :)  but of course you feel free to still post goals here.  I will start a  new topic for this new goal challenge I hope to see you regulars there.  :)

Almost nine here.. and I am signing off...   Stayed within calorie goal and water intake was up there...  Did most of the counter push-ups and stepper before and after...   still finding what works..  I didn't get my last meal in til about 6:00 but I really felt I better eat so I didn't snack later on...  Crossing my fingers no more food in the evenings...   Hope everyone else's day went okay..  Tomorrow is weigh in for me...  I go to the dr. office and weigh on his scales once a week to make it official and record it in a little card I made.  There were a few moments in the afternoon when I thought about eating but I did think about having to admit I couldn't make it through and "IT DID HELP!"    Just have to keep tryin..    ;-)

Tammy, I think this is a great idea. I ride my bike everyday and I have a dog named Penny that I take "walkies" too. I've been riding my bike for about 2 months now, almost everyday and use it for errands and to ride to work too when I can. I love being able to work exercise into my everyday life! I'll try posting up some goals too on the new topic.
