Goals for Today & Did you accomplish them?

Hi everyone.  I thought it would be neat to start a topic on where we can post our goals for the day in the morning and then set a time for 9 pm to enter if we accomplished our goals or not.  This way we have a time limit to get those goals accomplished and we can see what everyone is doing?  I hope some of you will join me in this interesting topic.

Goals for today

Walk 45 minutes
Bike 45 minutes
Eat 3 Fruits
Eat 4 Veg
I didn't do all the goals:

I did walk for 30 minutes. I biked for 60 minutes. I only ate two fruit serving - 1/2 cup blueberries, and some avocado (yumm) Need more fruit like bananas... I had 4 servings of veg mostly from lettuce and tomato
Hi Oh Hmmm, we used to have frozen banana alot in Australia. I would peel them and then freeze for smooties. Might do that again... Thanks for the tip.

I think I'm pretty much upright. The bike riders should be able to give you some good info on that. I saw your other post in fitness and found it very helpful to read the responsess.

Goals for today:

Drink 80 oz water Eat 60 grams protein Ride bike 45 minutes Walk 45 minutes

I'm going to a baseball game tonight and wil have to drive aways to get there so that means no eating past around 4... I won't be tempted to eat at the game, but I may have a diet soda.

HI everyone.  I am so sorry that I haven't been on here the last couple days, the best days for me to get on here so far are tuesdays through saturday.  I wasn't able to do any goals yesterday or the day before, bummer and am sorry for that.  :)  I did drink my water those days thou.  :)  It has been cold here the last couple days and raining.  That is alright we need the rain. 

Congratulations to you all that did your goals and posted them too.  I am proud of you all.  :)

pepper  our goal date could be the middle of september if you would like.  I have some good ideas in mind for a surprise for you.  I hope you enjoy them.  :)  You will have to send me your snail mail and I can do the same.  :)  What are your favorite colors?  Just so you know everyone has some artistic ability in them, they just need to find it and use it.  Who knows maybe this will create a whole new hobby for you.  :)  I hope you like it.  Very good explanation on the bikes.  :)

Ohio  good luck when you do get a bike.  You will love it.  I dont' wear a helmet, and I know I probablly should.  I am going to crochet me some handle bar warmers you just wrap around the handle bars this makes them more comfortable for me when grabbing them.  I tend to hold them hard.  Am not sure why.  I went to a our bike shop the other day and checked out their bikes, they are so nice.  I have my eyes set on a new one for next year.  We will see thou.  awesome job on the weight loss too.  I wish i could see the 180's. Me my weight just keeps fluctiating back and forth from 191 to 194.  i hate that. 

figurethefat   I am glad you like your bike too.  Who knows maybe some day we can start a biking club.  lol you never know.  :)  It seems with my basket on my bike that when we all go biking as a family me and the husband and two girls that i have to hold everyones waterbottle in my basket, etc.  lol  too funny.  i tell them they need a basket on theres.  they don' t want one thou.  It's not "cool" they say.  of course they are kids yes even the hubby so what do they know right.  :)

Ohio I did get my pens.  I bought a set of pentel metalic colored pens, it is cool.  I love them and it is fun writing in my journal.  It is a small one and i like it alot.  I even told it all about my friends here and this place.  :)  My pen fetish was really bad when i worked at the doctors office, all the pens we would get there, omg i was in heaven.  lol  I love the colored ones.  I love the Pilot Varsity's they are like a fountain pen, very nice ones.  I always hint for peoples pens if i see one that i like, and i think they know it, lol.  my friends at my crochet class will bring me some pens that they get at work.  :)  I think i sit upright on my bike and i have a big seat so my butt doesn't hurt much.  lol 

figurethefat have fun at the game tonight and you deserve a diet soda so drink up.  :)

ride my bike to my crochet class.

Tammy, I'm glad to see you're back!  I was hoping everything was okay since you're the one who always manages to post here.  I hope you won't spend a lot of effort on our exchange!  My favorite color is blue, but I like any color.  I think whatever kind of card I come up with will involve the watercolors sitting in my desk that I don't use or a photograph I took.

Ohio, congratulations on losing weight! Frozen bananas sound good.  Maybe I'll try that too.  It's starting to get cold in my neck of the woods already, but I'm still in the mood for ice cream like stuff.  I lean forward on my bike.  Good luck with the shopping!  Did the other bike store have many bikes?

Laura, your fruits and veggies sound very yummy.  Blueberries are my favorite.  I found orange/yellow colored cherry tomatoes at the farmers market last week and they are really sweet and good.  I'm going to try to ask the farmer what they're called this week.

Here are the net calories I got to for the past few days- Sun 1800 (ate too much and only did a short bike ride), Mon 1279 (ran on the treadmill plenty), Tues 1260 (didn't eat as much because my stomach is a little upset and went for a short walk).  Also today, I filled out the form to have a session with a personal trainer at my gym.  I have to drop it off tomorrow or Thursday when I go there next, depending on the weather.  I've never had a personal trainer before.  Has anyone else done that?

My goals for tomorrow are
1. go for a bike ride or go to the gym and use the treadmill
2. keep under 1450 net calories


I did most of my goals today but maybe I was about 10 minutes short in the walking. Also I ate Cracker Jacks at the game and some red licorice so my calories were around 1900 today. Plenty of protein though and fat, he he he.
Ohio -- try cans of food for your weights, alot of them are btwn 1-2#

Goals for today: 60 mins in the pool, finish editing my resume, staying under 1500 (if I get the 60 mins in the pool)
Goals for today:

pepper thanks for not giving up on me.  I couldn't believe i was away so long.  Don't worry about the effort I put into our exchange, I am crocheting something for you and I enjoy crocheting and so to me it is not much effort, jk.  everything takes effort, but I don't want you to worry about it.  :)  My favorite color is blue too.  I can't wait to see the card you come up with, I love watercolors and stuff.  I will cherish it.  :)  I am so excited and look forward to our exchange and if you like it we can do it more too.  :) 
That is so awesome you signed up with a personal trainer, I never did that but was thinking about it over the winter time, since my bike will be in the garage collecting dust boo whoo.  YOu will have to let us know how it goes.  I think it is going to be a great thing, they know exactly what you should do for what parts of the body you want to work out, I am sure the trainer will have some hints and tips so you must share with us i hope  :)  Good Luck on that , i think you will enjoy it. 

figure the fat how was the game, did the team you wanted to win, win?  Cracker jacks i haven't had them in a long time, what was your surprise at the bottom of the box??  I always thought licorice was a good snack I never read the label thou.  Yummy yum licorice.  Did you get a diet soda in there too?  I hope so.  Was the weather nice for you? 

ohio  Yummy yum a steak do you use A-1 steak sauce?  I love steak with potatoes garlic potatoes, especially if i can make them on the grill.  yum.  and that is great that you lost more weight even.  good job.  It is hard with the kids, i do try not to have goodies in the house.  I think that works alot.  I lost 2 pounds since last week, i am at 190.4, so am so excited to see 180 something soon.  It has been awhile since i saw 180's. 

figurethefat  it's alright you gained a pound.  Just remember it is only one pound.  That is good.  I think you will be fine.  You could blame the dog not wanting to go as far as you.  lol  :)  Don't be discouraged at all ok.  Remember it was only one pound.  :) 

Now for me , well it was a bummer yesterday I got all my crochet together in a smaller bag, cause i planned on riding my bike, well guess what happened right before i left, it poured outside.  I wasn't happy at all.  I wanted to ride my bike.  So i had to drive to class and home, didn't get to ride my bike.  :(
I did do some abdominal leg circles instead of crunches.  I did drink my water.  Here is my goals and menu for today. 

Goals for today:

Drink my water

Do abdominal leg circles

maybe ride my bike (it is raining here today, not looking good) I hope it stops raining. 

Don't eat after 7 oclock tonight. 

My menu today:

Breakfast:   Fiber One Bar
Lunch:      &nb sp;  Veggie Sub 6" from Subway
Dinner:      &n bsp; Cheese Raviolis with spaghetti sauce
Snack:      &nb sp;  Rice Cake with peanut butter and sliced bananas.

My snack am not sure when i will have it I figure when i get hungry I will eat it.  :)

Got my 60 min workout, under my goal calories (because of the workout), did not touch the resume ....

So apparently, my goals for Thursday are:

60 mins workout

no more than 1500 including exercise/1250 with no exercise

I usually have to check back during the day to see exactly what goals I've set for myself! Ok, I ate 76 grams of protein, yippee, and I did stay under 1,400, but just at 1,396.

I only got to ride 30 min. this morning cuz I got my hair coloured, but I did a quick trip to the store for milk and fruit, on my bike, so total was 50 minutes.

Although Penny and I tried to go the requisite 45 minutes, we only made it 40. We did go at 3 mph, so I was happy with that.

Tammy-the game was fun, lots of runs scored, but my team didn't win. I was going for the Yankees, and I did have a small diet soda too.

Pepper-I've never used a persoanl trainer so would be interested to see what you think.

Ohio-I hope you're not getting drenched with all the rain. I really need to work my arms, I have little 1 kg weights so there is really no excuse!

coach_k-great idea about the cans! Swimming is great exercise, I envy you.

Tammy, congratulations on losing some weight!:)  I am afraid you're spending too much effort on our exchange; but, as long as you're sure you're enjoying it, I'll try not to worry too much.  Sorry you didn't get to ride because of the rain, but good you did the other exercises.  Yes, I'll tell you how it goes with the personal trainer.   I want to add you as a friend, but haven't had a chance to check how that works yet.  Wow, you hardly eat anything!  My bfriend eats kind like that (or even less!) when he's trying to loose weight sometimes.  He doesn't usually manage to stick with it too long though, which I'm happy about because he gets dizzy if he doesn't eat enough since he had a car accident.  He doesn't need to loose much weight anyway.  I'm the opposite- I eat a ton of veggies and fruit and as much lower calorie food as I can get away with. (That is, when I'm behaving).  Here's what I ate today:

Breakfast
1 cup bran flakes and skim milk

Snack
container of light yogurt

Lunch
1/2 cup cottage cheese
small peach
1/2 box of strawberries
chopped veggies picked out of the big bowl of salad I made yesterday (peppers, tomatoes, cukes, radishes)
small cocoa w skim milk from Starbucks

Snack
1 hershey miniature
cereal bar

Dinner
Smart ones frozen pasta primavera
Vegetable Salad and 1Tb. of 20 cal/serving dressing

Snacks
1 Tb. Peanut butter and low-cal jelly on light bread
100 calorie bag of popcorn

coach-k, Welcome!  Yeah, resumes are a pain.  Good luck.

Laura, my weight goes up and down about 3 pounds all the time from one day to another.  Therefore, when it goes up a pound, it doesn't count.  It only counts when it goes down.  lol.  Seriously though, do you think you could have gained just water weight and not real weight?

My news- I found a new bicycle group in my area and went for a ride with them.  They are just the right pace for me and very friendly!  If the bicycle calorie calculator I use isn't too far off, I burned 400 calories, so I figured my net calories are 1070 today, which makes up for Sunday. 

For tomorrow, I'll try to keep it at 1450 net cal or less again and do my short weight routine and maybe an exercise video if I feel like it or think I should burn more calories. 











Goals for today: 1,500 calorie limit
65 grams of fiber
3 fruits
3 veg
60 minutes bike
2 mile walk
Ohio- I have to move off of my seat to touch the ground, unless I'm stopping at a curb. Then I can put just one foot down on the curbside. Funny, it's easier for me to put my right foot down. And I usually like to start up with my right foot on the pedal. I'm not very coordinated... Pepper- your daily menu sounds like mine. I eat all day! And lots of food, but do watch the calories. Hope everyone meets their goals for today. I'll be checking back to see exactly what mine are, hehe.

coach_k no need to be sorry you didn't barge in , everyone is welcome here.  I am glad you came.    I hate doing resumes, I too have to redo mine, the place i am working at now is going to close down.  I was suppose to have another job through our local hospital but still havent' heard anything, i was recommended for the position and this was 3 1/2 weeks ago, i guess from what people say it takes forever for the internal stuff.  I have given up on them, too depressing.  I have been looking every day but there just isn't much around here.  :)  That is why i have to get my resume together.  Good luck with your resume and other goals.  :) 

laura  what color did you get your hair?  Are you happy with it?  That is great that you still were able to ride your bike, as long as you get to whether it is for a short amount of time, that is what i think, it is better than nothing i say to myself.  :)   Sorry your team didn't win, sounds like they played good thou.  :)

pepper don't worry about the exchange  :)  I eat like that most of the time, however don't loose much weight at all.  I dont' understand.  I wish i would.  I go throught spurts on eating veggies and fruits.  You have a good menu for the day.  I see nothing wrong with it at all.  :)  I love your outlook on if the weight fluctuates and it goes up it doesn't count only if it goes down.  LOVE IT.  :)  That is so awesome you found a bicycle group.  How many people in the group?  How often do you get together?  I have noticed that riding a bike sure does add up the calories burned.  :)

Ohio  I bet you were so excited to ride your new bike.  :)  I know what you mean about being too tall, my tippie toes touch too.  I think you will get more secure with it after riding it.  It is good to start in your favorite path for security especially until you get comfortable with your bike etc.  :)  I am not much of a meat eater, i saw you put refried beans as an option for protein, i never thought of that, thanks for sharing.  I love bean tacos.  yummy yum.

Here is my news: Yippie.   I was able to go for a bike ride yesterday no rain, just extremely humind.  I only went for a 4 mile ride, but I figure it is better than none.  I did eat my menu except i had a small bag of lays barbecue chips with my sub and i had a 100 calorie cookie and cream icecream cup instead of my rice cake.  :)  I had my icecream after 7 oclock, shame on me.  That is alright thou. 

My goals for today are:

Drink my water
ride my bike
do leg exercises
walk with my dog

My menu today:

Breakfast:   Fiber One Bar
Lunch:         Fiber One Bar (i didn't bring anything to work today) I                        have a whole box of bars here. 
Dinner:         Not sure yet, will look in the freezer at home when i                         get off work to see what to make, will post it later.

Snack:         rice cake with peanut butter on it.

I will have coffee too and drink my water today.  :)

I went 231 cal over my limit put then burned it off on my elliptical so I'm going to say yes, I did all.

Before this post I wouldn't have bothered to try and right a wrong.
