Yesterday I did the Tour de Menlo, a 37 mile community bike ride (it was 40 miles with a detour caused by a sign left over from a previous ride). It was organized by the Rotary Club to benefit kids scholarships. I ate when hungry all day and wound up 500 over. No big deal, I'll just lift weights today. And, good opportunity to test the theory that I won't feel starving today since I plenty yesterday.
Sunday
Lift weights
maybe running intervals
10-15 mi cycling for transportation.
Not sure about calories - having home-cooked indian food for brunch

You've got stamina for sure.
Didn't make my goals for today due to not leaving for town and gym in time but did get 5" on bicycle for warmup, 20" stretches & crunches, 15" weights, 20" rowing machine and swim 4 laps then got to doc on time. Ate 1588 cal.
Lost another 1.6# since last Tuesday and hope it stays off, with maybe more for August weight loss challenge on Friday. AVG cal of 1380 appears to be working.

My goal for today was to have a 500 calorie deficit by the end of the day. Unfortunately I spontaneously agreed to go out for dinner to a Vietnamese restaurant which brought down the deficit to 200 calories.
The main reason is because I ate a lot of fried tofu. On the upside, i turned down dessert and a softdrink to go with my meal and instead had the green tea to wash down the meal.
I've been lazy at my parents' house, not even walking to the pool or the gym (which are really close by). I also need to get milk, and I sort of wish the store was closer so I wouldn't risk the milk going bad on my mile back to the apartment.
But Lou's back in the states and called me last night. I was happy to hear his voice and can't wait to see him next week.
158 again. No weight decrease since July. :-(

Today's goals:
1. Stay within my 1400 calorie limit.
2. Do my full workout of 50 minutes Pilates/45 Minute Jog after work since I skipped out on Pilates this morning.
3. Cook the veggies in the fridge that are going bad for dinner tonight.
My first day back at the gym is scheduled for Monday, only because of the schedule I'm dealing with atm. Please, everyone, keep me on track, and don't let this thread die!

I miss posting my goals too. I'll do so first thing tomorrow morning :) You can and will stay on the wagon.

goals: eat 1400 cal and get at least 45" exercise today.
1. Eat 3 fruit and 4 veg
2. Eat 60 grams of protein
3. Drink a homemade veggie juice
4. Ride bike for 45 minutes
5. Drink 48 oz. of water
I did eat 62 grams of protein, so woot!
No homemade veggie juice
Rode the bike for 45
And drank all the water.
The last of the protein came in the form of cottage cheese on a cantaloupe half. I hope the sodium doesn't cause me to retain water because tomorrow morning is the weigh in day for the weight loss challenge :/

Hello all - can I come late to the party? I had a huge amount of traveling for work this summer, and now I'm struggling to get back on the wagon. I didn't gain or lose since the traveling started - part of me is proud that I maintained during all those restaurant meals and strange cities and weird work hours where I couldn't exercise at all, part of me would like to point out I didn't get right back on track the minute I got home three weeks ago. I've always tried to be more of a process person than a results person, so this sounded like just the group for me!
Here are my goals for today:
- No 4pm-6pm snacking (my downfall) - SUCCESS
- No nibbling while cooking (small but consistent calorie mistake) - SUCCESS
- 2 mi walk or 30 min exercise session (yikes - getting started again!!!) - UM...
OK - here I go, I'm hitting the post button now and declaring my intentions!

HI Figure, sorry I've gotten kind of lazy on the posting. Weekends are nearly impossible because I don't bring my computer to Lou's place.
Today's Goals:
- Don't starve! (class straight from 9:30 - 4:30 p.m.)
- Squeeze in a meal maybe between this class and the next one.
- Some kind of exercise - maybe a walk? It's chilly, might feel good.
- Pack for going to Lou's again.
Leopard: make use of those 100 cal snack packs if need be but don't starve.
Figure: Where do you row? In a rowboat or on a rowing machine?
I'm still doing my usual goals of:
Today:
* 25" stretches and 5" squats; 20" walk; eat 1400.
* Figure out when it is time to pick Pistachio nuts; they come off the tree easily now but does one wait until they fall off?
Monday:
* Get to gym by early
* Do 5" on bicycle for warmup, 25" stretches & crunches, 30" weights, 30" rowing machine, bicycle in swimming pool for 25", swim 4-5 laps and additional 15" water aerobics.
I took a random trip to New York and New Jersey this weekend, starting on Friday. My cousin's wedding was Saturday, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to go until Thursday, so I packed Thursday and went Friday. Then since I was with my Louie, he wanted to stop to NJ as well to see his grandparents. It was his grandfather's birthday that Friday, so our surprise visit was the gift.
And...
Eating better but not exercising. I will have to amend that.
So today's goals:
- Eat decently
- Go for a long walk.

I ate decently yesterday and did the walk. Today I did the long walk but didn't eat so well.

- Eat a salad. Nope, couldn't do that either..
- Drink 4 bottles of water. I think I managed to get 4 really late at night.
- No eating after 8:30pm Also nope, because I needed to get my calories up for the day so I had cheerios.
- Yoga Was busy doing precalculus
- Print out Chem lab Did this this morning actually.
- Go to math office hours I did for 3 whole hours! :D
So, wow I need to kick it back into gear. I guess I will start with smaller steps today so I can get back into the habit of sticking with my goals.

- Pick up library's old magazines.
