mrs_yooper on this site started this thread but it has long died out, and I wanted to bring it back.

We should start a topic on where we can post our goals for the day in the morning and then set a time for 9 pm to enter if we accomplished our goals or not.  This way we have a time limit to get those goals accomplished and we can see what everyone is doing?  I hope some of you will join me in this interesting topic.

1)  Post in the morning what your goals for the day are.

2)  Post in the evening or the next day, if you reached your goals for the day.

3)  In your end-of-day post (OPTIONAL), include your Nutrition Report for the day.

 

For Example:

Goals 06/10/09

  1. Eat 1300 - 1500 Calories
  2. Walk to Class (2.1 miles)
  3. Study for Thursday's Test
  4. Stock up at grocery store

Goals Reached 06/10/09

  1. Ate 1369 Calories (very low fat day but had 1 oz alcohol in my homemade vinaigrette) ((Edit:  I ate roughly half the chicken that I wanted to eat, so decreased by the appropriate Calories)
  2. Walked to class and still had energy when I got there.  Wanted to walk back but the urge for organic soup was too strong.  I got a ride from a friend.
  3. Studied some, would like to do some more tonight.

Today my parents are supposed to come into town for the day, and I'm glad that I had no lab today or I would not have gotten to see them.  So far I've done nothing but veg and play computer games.  My parents will be here at 1:30 or so.

  2. Double my fiber (11 yesterday)
  3. Bowling from 6:20 - 8:30
  4. Spend "quality" time with family.
  5. Show Family the nicer side of town

Yeah, I had about 2000 calories today because pizza is GREAT.  I'll work on eating better tomorrow.  Starting with Fiber One toaster pastries.  Why do I eat less when I should be eating more and eating more when I should be eating less?  Today I burned less calories than yesterday, and I went over by 500 today and yesterday under by 300.

That wasn't too bad.  I could have eaten better for my evening meal (not to be confused with dinner, which happens around 4 in the afternoon - evening meal happens between 9:30 and 10:30 p.m.).  I had a waffle with apples, caramel, and pecans on top.  The rest of my meals were decent.

Tomorrow I will do better.  I should really make food tonight for tomorrow, so I can save time.  But it's 12:30 already and I'm tired.  If I get up before 9, I'll cook myself lunch and reheat it at my internship.

Goals for 11/13/09 (Friday the 13th!)

  1. Remember that I parked near the snakeberry bush in the dirt lot.
  2. Eat what I like but don't over do it.
  3. Extra protein - Chick Fil-A chargrilled sandwich, plain?  What else can I get?
  4. 750 Deficit - eat 2000 Calories.

Goals for 11/17/09

  1. Try to squeeze in meals today
  2. Work from 5:30 - 9:15
  3. Keep fiber above 20
  4. More later... not thinking well right now

I dont' remember about those goals.

Anyways, I didn't do well with eating because I was in a hurry.  I had chinese, candy, cookies, a hot dog, more cookies...

I might have one of these rolls when they get out of the oven.

Well, good news is, I didn't eat the rolls when they were out of the oven.  I haven't actually eaten them yet.  I might have one with jelly shortly for breakfast.  I didn't eat anything too terrible over the weekend, and i saw 168.0 and a drop in pants size.  I'm wearing a pair of Dickies work pants that I had bought as a goal pair of pants the last time I was trying to lose weight.  They're a size 10 and I was 158 - 162 last time I wore them.  It's good to be able to wear them because they show off my butt...  And my butt is a great ass-et, pun intended.

I'm going to wear them to work today and hope my coworker/friend/crush notices.  This morning I blamed 32 fl oz of Diet Coke and 3 tacos on my 169.8 lb but it's probably water (diet-coke) weight mostly.  Mmm... Mexican food.  Craving more Mexican.  I guess I'll see tomorrow if it's water weight or not when I measure myself.

Goals for today:

  1. Plan out eating times:
    1. Eat at 11 a.m. 500 Cal
    2. Snack at 2 p.m.
    3. Eat at 4 p.m. 700 Cal
    4. Eat at 9:30 p.m. 500 Cal
  2. As you can see, 1900 Calories allowed today.  Working from 5 - 9:15, and that burns an extra 400 Calories that I wouldn't have burned otherwise.  Planning on minor interval training in gym after 9:30 meal.
  3. Work out after work
  4. Don't let myself starve.
  5. Enjoy date.

Goals for today:

1. Work 5 hours

2. Wait to eat my lunch until noon (almost there!!!)

3. Go to the gym for at least 30 minutes this evening

4. Stay under/around 1500 calories for the day

5. Drink a cup of water every hour on the hour

 

This is a great idea =)  The hardest part will be number 2 even though I'm almost there... =x

2. yep =)  Just barely... Probably wouldn't have made it if my coworker didn't distract me for the last 10 minutes.

3. No, but the night isn't over... probably won't make it though.  I had really wanted to go right after work, but my boyfriend didn't go to the grocery and so I had to go before the store closed at 7 (local gourmet grocery).

5.  Not quite, but I think I did a pretty good job of drinking a lot - I've certainly been to the bathroom enough.

 

I had some fantastic sauteed zucchini and squash with my dinner - it was absolutely fantastic!  I could probably live on that stuff... I'm curious, would these be considered starchy?  I'm terrible at deciphering what is and isn't starch. =(  All in all, a good day =)  Hoping to make tomorrow even better. 

So for today:

1. Drink plenty of water!

2. Stay under 1500 again

3. Work 5.5 hours

4. Get my daily value of fiber (up to 50% so far!)

5. Either make it to the gym for 30 minutes or run the stairs to CSE
