Goals for Today (Always Open!)
mrs_yooper on this site started this thread but it has long died out, and I wanted to bring it back.
We should start a topic on where we can post our goals for the day in the morning and then set a time for 9 pm to enter if we accomplished our goals or not. This way we have a time limit to get those goals accomplished and we can see what everyone is doing? I hope some of you will join me in this interesting topic.

3) In your end-of-day post (OPTIONAL), include your Nutrition Report for the day.
For Example:
Goals 06/10/09
- Eat 1300 - 1500 Calories
- Walk to Class (2.1 miles)
- Study for Thursday's Test
- Stock up at grocery store

Goals Reached 06/10/09
- Ate 1369 Calories (very low fat day but had 1 oz alcohol in my homemade vinaigrette) ((Edit: I ate roughly half the chicken that I wanted to eat, so decreased by the appropriate Calories)
- Walked to class and still had energy when I got there. Wanted to walk back but the urge for organic soup was too strong. I got a ride from a friend.
- Studied some, would like to do some more tonight.
- On my way out after this post!

It was a stupid idea to eat a full Papa Johns Cheese Pizza, right before I have to go on a two-day fast (medical-related). But I can safely say (in two languages), WHO NEEDS A LAXATIVE WHEN YOU CAN EAT PAPA JOHNS PIZZA?
I take that back... I noticed that my pizza-lax (I'm going to market that idea!) COMPLETELY bypassed the corn I ate yesterday. The actual laxative the doctor made me take, that pulled out the corn. I don't know if I was supposed to eat corn because that's one of those vegetables that you pass in its full form - little yellow kernels. (Here's your TMI of the day, although everybody knows that it happens - that, and any veg that you ate in "stew" form).
My only 4 goals tomorrow:
- Stay hydrated before procedure
- Take laxative for procedure
- Sleep
- Eat the Japanese food I ordered for the free broth (how's that for pathetic)

- Get my 5 a day DONE
- Walk home from the gym NOPE - it was raining
- Contact friends about camping trip in August NOPE
- Wash pots & do laundry NOPE
- Make stir fry for dinner DONE
- Stay under 2000 cals DONE - 1817
Hmm...3 out of 6 isn't too bad I guess!
Goals for 14th July:
- Get my 5 a day
- Contact friends about camping trip in August
- Wash pots & do laundry
- Stay under 1800 cals (no exercise today)
- Inspect beehive (weather permitting!)
july 15 goals
- 800 cals deficit at least
- update website
- walk to lunch IF IT DOES NOT RAIN THIS HARD
- update craft projects page
- max 2 or 3 glasses of wine at the concert
As for today Goals 7/13/09
1. Have some sort of deficit today, for once. Did really well, about 800 calorie deficit.
2. Take the All Level Hatha Yoga class tonight, and try for 15-20 minutes on the elliptical at home. Took yoga, skipped elliptical
3. Actually take the online class today, I think my internet is working now. I'm such a procrastinator..
Goals 7/15/09
1. Going out to dinner with my family tonight.. I want to make a smart choice, and depending on what I get try the trick where you split the portion in half and get the other half wrapped to go before you even eat the meal. I've heard that helps.
2. Take the LSAT online lesson tonight. No excuses.
3. Unable to take a yoga class tonight.. so after dinner I would like to get on the elliptical for 20 minutes.
Yesterday's Goals Completed:
- Staying hydrated? Why bother when they're shoving electrolytes up your arm? No me gusta, je l'aime pas.
- Did this. Didn't like this either.
- Short nap from 5 - 7, then didn't sleep again till 4:30 a.m. Feeling it.
- Had half a cup of Japanese, got sick, and took that 5 - 7 nap.
EDIT: I have moderate to severe acid reflux and they are running a biopsy on what could possibly be Barrett's Esophagas. Barrett’s esophagus is a condition in which the tissue lining the esophagus—the muscular tube that connects the mouth to the stomach—is replaced by tissue that is similar to the lining of the intestine. This process is called intestinal metaplasia" ((according to http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs /barretts/)).
Today's goals:
- Make up for the Ben & Jerry's I grabbed for breakfast to eat in the car on the way to school
- Kick Matthew out
- Take a nap
- Do ALL FRENCH HOMEWORK INCLUDING PROJECT
- No deficit for Today or tomorrow. Need to get off starvation mode à cause de my procedure
Back from the holiday and ready to set some goals:
1) run 5k -- done in 38:58
2) ride the bike -- done, went to the bank and on errands
3) go to the bank -- done
4) eat 3 fruit and 3 veg -- grapes, lettuce, tomato, avocado, orange juice, broccoli, zucchini...
5) drink 1.5 litres of water -- done
That's probably enough for the first day back :) Leopard -- hope the biopsy goes well and that you can get your reflux under control.
Goals for today:
1) ride to the bagel shop -- done, kids are eating :)
2) buy the water filter for the fridge, all installed
3) 3 fruit and 3 veg -- orange, avocado, lettuce, carrot, beet, plum, banana
4) vacuum -- ew, there's a real dog hair pileup :/ -- no, too lazy
5) might as well dust first... -- again too lazy
6) work on the letter -- uh, no...
- It's good to be home and getting back to my little routine that I call my life. ugh, had pizza yesterday. Could NOT go from lavish restaurant meals, immediately to broiled chicken and salads. Also, no food in the house yet. Mostly I miss yogurt. I did rent movies and bought some nice blueberrys. Can't believe I'm actually missing veggies.
Goals Today:
- empty and put away stuff in suitcase.
- drink water
- make green tea
- buy healthy grocerys
- try to go for a walk or bike ride, 30 min.
- choose 5 outfits for work so I don't have to think about it every morning.
- cook steel cut oats to last 3 days.
- maybe buy turnip greens.
DONE:
- yes put suitcase away, but nearby for Sept. business trip.
- yes, didn't count, but drank all day
- no, didn't feel like making green tea
- yes, bought tons of grocerys
- no, cloudy didn't go out for exercise
- yes, have outfits ready to hop into
- yes, made and ate oats
- yes, bought collard greens
I'm the same with the routine stuff :) For veggies, I love those bags of mixed greens this time of year. Just throw them in a bowl, add some chopped tomato, onion, avocado, maybe croutons and a drizzle of olive oil. Yum!
Goals for today:

2) drink 1.5 litres water -- one jug so far, two...
3) 3 fruit and 3 veg -- plum, orange, lettuce
4) dust -- seriously doubt it
5) clean and organise camping boxes -- done!
Edit: I'm not going to dust, no one is coming over for a while, so it can just sit :)
ugh, weigh is now bothering me cause it went up so much. I was just beginning to feel thinner before the trip.

- Stop eating at 8 pm
- make green tea and drink a glass before eating anything
- limit carbs, seriously.
- limit sodium, seriously.

Going to the beach today and hoping to enjoy myself without swimming. I have a fresh tattoo on my right hip. It's cute. A moon and a star, that, after it was already done, I learned was an islamic symbol. I'll rpobably put a cross on my other side, even it all out. I don't have any qualms about religion in any case. YAY Tattoo

oh, sorry to hear all the bad stuff. The tattoo sounds interesting. I usually don't like to go in the water at the beach, but if I couldn't go in, it would really make me want to, so hope you had a good time.

I was really bad over the weekend so i'm trying to get back on track and get remotivated.
Goals for today
1. Go to the gym and do abs, lift weights and stay for over an hour
2. Eat no more than 1300 calories
3. Drink 6 glasses of water
Im starting small but these are my goals just for today. i'll check back in tonight.

Sorry I couldnt check back in last night. I had a really busy day.
1. I did go to the gym and I stayed for over an hour and worked out hard and it felt amazing. I had soo much energy there and after.
2. I only ended up eating 1070 cals yesterday which I know isn't really enough, but I was so busy with work yesterday that I hardly had time.
3. Don't think I drank much more than my usual amount of water because I was so busy, but I did manage to drink 4 160z bottles at least.
So overall yesterday was great! I love this post because I feel like i'm being held accountable for my diet and exercise. Love it! Hope you all had a great day yesterday as well.
I think my goals for today will be about the same with the exception of the gym because I already went this morning and didnt have time to stay long, but at least I got some exercise.... maybe i'll go on a walk after work today.

I really need to do this today because I just got back from a 4 day vacation and totally let myself go diet wise and i gained back 4 pounds. OMG! I'm scared that i'm not going to get back on track, so just to make sure I do i'm posting todays goals...
1. Go to the gym. Any exercise is better than nothing and I haven't been in 4 days.
2. Eat only 1200 cals today to get back on track.
3. Eat a light lunch. I'm scared i'm going to overeat at lunch because i'm meeting up with my boyfriend on his lunch break and i'm sure we're going to eat fast food. So I have to control myself.
Okay so heres how my day worked out...
1. I went to the gym and did pretty well. Did about 30 minutes of cardio before a massive sideache forced me to quit. I also did some abs, and allot of arms. Also just got back from a 30min walk since I overate a little.
2. I ate a total of 1340 today. Could have been better but could have been allot worse, so overall i'm happy with that.
3. I did eat a good lunch. I convinced my boyfriend to take me to subway and I ate a half a turkey sub with veggies. Thats it.
So yay for today. Thats all I can do is take it one day at a time.
aug 14 goals
- 800 cals deficit at least
- prepare for saturday job
- walk 30-60 mins deoending on wiork schedule
- max glasses of winein the evening (meeting a friend for a mini celebration)
- errands as planned (post office, etc)
So disappointed in myself, because I had yet another bad day yesterday. I just got overly tired and had a binge. Must get myself back on track and everytime I post in here I stay true to my goals. So here are todays goals.
1. Eat only 1200 cals
2. Already went to the gym today, but i need to walk/jog for an hour after work tonight
3. Eat salad with chicken for lunch
4. Lean cuisine for dinner
I really need to lose 5 pounds by the end of the month.
Well heres the verdict for yesterday.
1. only ate about 1050
2. couldn't walk after work because I got off later than anticipated and it was almost dark outside. But i ate less in calories so I think it evened out.
3. didn't eat lunch because I was on a time restraint.
4. did eat a lean cuisine for dinner.
forgot to add that I was going to only drink water for the rest of the day and I did do that as well.
overall yesterday was good but could have been better. Will do better today!
I'm back I'm back! I really haven't been active since August? Oops.
New boyfriend... kinda gets on my nerves but that's because he's too young for me. He's only 18. I haven't been eating great but I've been checking in once in awhile, reading the new Dr. Mary topics. Fast Food caught me. I'm sorry all, but Fast Food is a friend I cannot give up easily. I didn't have any today, though.
Today's food (just to keep up with):
Breakfast:
1 XL bowl of rice krispies (approx 2 cups)
1 cup milk
Lunch:
2 of the 3 Lunchables pizzas in the package
1 egg salad sandwich (which desperately needed mustard)
1 12-oz cup of fruit (so probably more like 6 oz fruit)
1/2 bottle (regular) Pepsi
Dinner - running late so halfway on the run
3 pieces of pound cake
16 fl oz Dr Pepper
After Dinner Hungry Meal:
1 Lean Cuisine baked chicken (actually pretty good!)
8 fl oz diet pepsi wild cherry
Goals for Tomorrow (thursday):
- Finish Proposal (with flyer and brochure)
- Finish Geo Essay
- Find out how to do Lab
- 1400 - 1600 Calories
- Semi-deficit
