What are your goals for weight loss?

What are your goals for weight loss and does any one else on here do marathon running or amateur endurance running as hobbies?

My current weight is 117 pounds at 5'5. I'm hoping to get down to my pre-baby weight which was 107 pounds.

My goal was: size 8 jeans Laughing (about 60 kg.)

I have recently started up 16 K running and a lot of trail running.  My first "real" race is coming up at the end of July  - the Tely Ten Road Race

First, stats:

Age: 18

Height:  5'6"

Starting Weight: 186.6

Current Weight: 165.6

Goal Weight: 135-145 (I'm not sure yet)

But more importantly, I want to be able to get up and run 4 days a week after I finish weight loss.  I want to have exercise incorporated into my life everyday.

107 pounds will put you underweight with a BMI of 17.8. While you may have weighed that much pre-pregnancy, it doesn't mean it's a healthy weight for you. Perhaps instead of aiming for such a low weight, you could focus on getting healthy with exercise.

Hey My current weight is 114.8, and I'm also 5'5".

My goal right now is 110.  I dont really know exactly what weight I'll feel comfortable at.

Also like ashley i have cleansing goals too.. The master cleanse has also been a part of my past cleansing/weightloss.

I think it totally depends on your body type though.  I have known people who weigh like 140 and are the same height as me and look fantastic.

I, however have a small frame, so i need to be lower to look skinny.  Height and weight is not the only thing that determines healthy BMI, because everyone has a different body.

Good luck with achieving your goals!

I'm training to run a marathon in October! I currently run around 30-40 miles/week, including one 12-15 mile run. Also, like joyfulloser, would like to incorporate exercise into my life every day, whether it be running, biking or just taking my dog for a walk (definitely the best kind of exercise!). I'm also trying to get down to 147 lbs (I'm 5'8 and currently 161 lbs).

Reye, I agree with other commenters that your goal weight seems low for your height. Are you doing endurance running? Maybe you should focus on getting toned and fit for a marathon or whatever it is you're training for, rather than trying to lose weight.

Hey there! My goals are to lose weight, strengthen, improve my heart health/cholesterol and complete the Sun Run Marathon here in Vancouver by next year. I jog in the mornings (as far as I can go before I just can't anymore), eat a clean vegan diet to manage my cholesterol and bike/swim on weekends.

Height: 5'11"

Age: 21

Start weight: 242lbs

Current weight: 218lbs

Goal weight: 154-165lbs (unsure, it's so far away yet!)

Goal pant size: 8

Start size: 18

Current: 13/14

I'm 5'5 or maybe 5'5.5" not sure.. maybe inbetween Tongue out

I weigh 103 right now.  My initial goal was 99 but I might try to maintain instead. My long term goal is 124.
