I just had 8 cups of vegetables I feel so full and I'm only at 800 calories, yikes--just had to pipe in!

Boots...  Good gracious!!  What on earth made you eat 8 cups of veggies??  You're sounding like ME!!  Likely sauteed veggies are my "fall back" food.  Hubby laugh when I go to be grocery store now, because I'm going to RAID the produce department.  There are literally more veggies than anything in our fridge.

You're going to love your elliptical.  Mine is a pain in the neck, but I'm still really glad I have it.  Speaking of it, I AM getting on mine tonight, I feel the workout vibe returning.

Vstar: I just got a new toy:a juicer..and I love it! I still have to make sure I'm getting all my fiber from whole grains but besides that I"m getting the benefits of drinking straight juice and I love it--I was only supposed to have 5 cups but somehow I over-estimated...I need to go to the store tomorrow and stock up on more vegetables and fruit....

Looks like I'm down to the last 2 job interviews with 2 jobs that I want, I may be offered a position tomorrow, so much to think about!  Hope everyone had a great night!

Good morning all!

Well, I have been w/ CC since September 22, 2008 and I weighed on my mothers's scale and from what it said, I have lost 3 lbs. I am still not sure because her scale is very old and might be unreliable.

I still haven't gotten back to the gym since hurricane ike (it messed me up, routine-wise), but when I do, I will weigh there and will be hoping for at least 3 lbs.

In the meantime, I feel good, I look a little different in the mirror, and my clothes aren't so tight. ALL GOOD!

Okay, friends, have a great day today! And thank God for the wonderful, healthy food He has provided for us!

Boots- Darling, you look like you are right back on track. Eating 8 cups of veggies-- HAH. I hope you like your bathroom, because you will be spending a lot of time in there. I've gotten back on track eating wise, but have taken a few days off from gym to get my mind right.

Boots/VP- in the past I have had no problems losing weight with out working out. Now that I have added this "strenous" work out into my life style it's messing with my head an my metabolism. I'm not used to these pounds not coming off. THE BACK FAT is messing with my life. I woke up one morning and had two nice rolls with meat in the creases on my lower back. At 36, I'm trying ot enter into my 40's looking and feeling GREEATT

VP- I really do just get right back on the bike and ride once I fall hard. I'm just trying to figure out where the working out fits in. I won't ever stop working out, but like you've said in previous posts-- I have to work on closing that deficit gap.

shannah shannah bobana bananna fanan for fanna fee fie foe fanna-- Shanah trying singing that while eating a granola bar.

H-Dip- nice to meet ya. Good for you on that weight loss, really nice job. I'm hoping to join you guys on this great weight debate. I am determined to drop 50 pounds

KK- I'm hoping everything goes well for you!!!

* Drifting lazily, a lone bird flies high over the Great Going for the Gold Castle... contentedly, it eyes the Ancient Edifice from it's lofty viewpoint and idly wonders what may be going on in there today... if anyone could have passed by, they would have noticed a strange shudder occur in the seemingly peaceful bird as it nervously considered the possibility of the Mighty G4G Cannon-- Ole' Betsy-- firing off unexpectedly... ya' never know when that'll happen!!! Far too often in the opinion of the high-flying bird...lol! They certainly like ta' Celebrate a LOT in that Happy Castle Gang! Studying the Lovely meadows around the Mighty Castle, however, he has to heartily approve of the switch to wild flower seed for ammo... Truly Beautiful, he must admit... * Wink

* Suddenly, he staggers and wheels around in the previously quiet sky... WHAT was THAT...!?! Taking no chances on Ole' Betsy, he stretches into a high 'warp' speed and leaves... trailing feathers...! * Surprised

* THAT was a very-loud boom of 2beittybitty's Enormous Bed Chamber Door being slammed open in the Vast Upper Hall of the Huge Castle... whistling madly, and alternating cartwheels with handstands, (modestly, of course!), she careens wildly down the Lovely Old Massive Staircase... till she collides firmly with the Gargantuan Doors of the Immense Going for the Gold Celebration Hall... (not so young anymore, lol)... Carefully getting back to her feet and dusting off, (Giant musty Castles DO take a lot o' dusting!), she squares her thankfully-unbroken shoulders and pushes the Huge Entrance Doors open... Peering in to see if anyone is currently in the Great Hall, she bounces Cheerfully inside and flops into her Favorite old recliner by the Wonderful Fireplace in a shadowed side of the Vast Hall... Sighing Happily to be Home again, (been 2 1/2 weeks! Eeek!!!), but unable to wait patiently, she jumps up again and runs to the Lovely Stone Mantle to find the New Brass Proclamation Bell there and begins ringing it Joyfully to call anyone to the Great Hall to share her Happy news... * Cool

Anybody Home...?????? Laughing

WELCOME NEWBIEESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !! LaughingLaughingLaughing

GLAD YOU'RE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cool

(Lol-- I'm a Smiley Nut!)

* And...the...Rain...came...Pouring...Down...WO W!!! * Surprised

South Mississippi is Truly, "Catchin'it!" right now...  Surprised

2BB: It's so good to see you back Laughing I missed you, please don't go running again as Boss is gone for now

M:  I have no idea what to tell you because the pounds come off slowly for me too..And girl I'm in my 20s.....so I have no advice for you.....I guess the only advice I know is to say, the weight you put on didn't come on over night so you shouldn't expect it to be taken off over night And...Doctors sometime recommend only losing like 2 to 4 pounds a month! Think about where you will be in a year if you lost that much, that adds up to be a lot...That's where my thinking is right now!

Shana: Glad your rolled in this morning...Don't worry too much about that scale, how do you look:]? how are your clothes fitting? Think more about that

I had my 3 cups of fruit already..I just cooked up a chicken and put it in a pot with brown rice and cutt of vegetables and low sodium chicken broth....I'm letting that cook up now, so I have dinner later on..... I'm going for a walk later...I may step on the scale tomorrow, to see if it agrees with me..Okay, I will pop in later!!

* waves to Boots!!! *  Laughing

2bb...  'Bout time you returned friend!!!  I was starting to wonder if you'd canned yourself!  Glad you're back.  The Hall is still just chugging along.

Boots...  Ok... I can see juicing and having that many veggies.  Still a lot though.

Meisha...  I'm with you sister... I am NOT taking this weight with me into my 40's.  I honestly know that I will have to continue being active to maintain, but I'm ok with that.  I just want to get into the shape I want to be in.

Ok... celebration and sorrow here.  I did NOT get on the elliptical last night.  I feel very ashamed and apparently need to boot in the backside to get back in the exercise game.

On the other hand, a bit of an odd celebration.  I ordered new jeans from JC Penney a while ago and they arrived yesterday.  I ordered a 16 and a 14.  Fully expected the 14 to be too small, but got them for motivation jeans.  OMG ladies... they were TOO BIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes, it may have been the style, but still!!  Sending them back and ordered a different style in a 14.  We'll see.  I'm too scared to even contemplate a 12... it's not even possible.

Vstar that is great! Congrats on the jeans, that's so exciting! Your a true inspiration on the fact that we should watch more than the scale such as how our clothes fit! Thanks for sharing and let us know what size you end up with!

Hope everyone is having a good evening....I'm taking some time off exercise but I'm still eating at my BMR like Vstar recommended Wink, so I have like a 300 calorie deficit each day..... Today I had 3 cups of fruit and 5 cups of vegetables.  I'm just relaxing, trying to get on track with a better sleeping schedule.

Boots...  At this point, I really DO have to pay attention to my clothes.  Because if I paid attention to the scale, I'd have gone bonkers by now.  I ordered two more pairs of jeans... a 14 and a 12.  Now I KNOW the 12 won't fit... and I have no idea why I'm even trying it... but what the heck!

shhhhhh.........I am sneaking in!

Ok I am back!!

I decided to return to the lovely Going4Gold Gang on the one year anniversary of beginning my diet last year. I have been taking a break for almost 4 months now and ashamed, but still ok with it, I have gained some weight. I weighed in this morning at 156.2 which is 32.6 pounds off of what I weighed 1 year ago at 188.8.

Not much has been happening except lately I have really been trying to draw closer to God. It is time to get all areas of my life in fit shape again, I can't lose weight when spiritually I have been a big ole bouncing baby. Since I am making progress in my relationship with Him I can get back to losing.

Still, most faces are familiar. The ones who aren't I am sure I will get to know real soon.

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!

YIPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing

I MISSED you, Dear 4square!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing

The Going 4 Gold Hall just ain't the same without you! Really was thinking about you yesterday, and wondering how your Home schooling is going this year-- one of our 2 Newbies is a Home school-er, too! Are you ready for some walking? I need ta' get back on my treadmill, but a head cold has me stalled... a good partner would help! Wink

Hey! I just noticed your new pic-- we just bought two black cows Monday, lol! (The stock yards are FLOODED here... not lookin' good for the future, as Farmers are forced to dump their cattle when faced with the sky-high fertilizer prices... Good time to buy-- our first time as cow owners-- but a REALLY  bad time to sell...) Cry

Those 2 are beautiful! Where were you in that pic? Curious...! Laughing

You look good--and Happy, too, lol! Wink

Newbies-- if you would like to see 4square's Fun Rendition of our Lovely G4G Celebration Hall, check in her gallery pictures... Her Trophy Case is really Good! It makes a great desktop picture, and you can see it best that way, if your computer cooperates! Undecided

(I saved it to my pictures first, then clicked on it there and set it as my desktop background... it opened perfectly centered in my Vista setup.. It's worked in my XP setup on a tower computer, too. Directly from the pic without saving it first didn't work today, so I thought I'd better add these directions!)

The great wall picture is actually from a real picture belonging to  Forks-- placed in the Hall by 4square! Laughing

Green eyes... how is your poor foot now? I was worried when I read about that! Surprised

CONGRATULATIONS, VSTAR!!!!! THAT'S Cool!!!!!! Glad you ordered the next size! Wink

I'll share my Good News later today... if folks are around! I went to bed at 5 pm last night-- tired all afternoon-- and slept till about 6 am today! THAT should help, but I missed everybody... Any 'Early Birds' around? LATE 'Night Owls?' Laughing

CoolMorning Everyone!!

2BB & 4SQ: Hooray!! You've returned to us.  We missed you very much!  Sounds like you both are doing well except for that head cold. 2BB Feel better fast!  My darn foot was better and then came back this week.  It has made it difficult for me to work out, but I am determined to do some kind of activity each day no matter what.  Instead of walking I will just lift weights or maybe use the stationary bike at the gym which would be a good change.

Boots, VSTAR, Meisha:  Keep up with your healthy lifestyle cause as you mentioned you do not want to take any extra weight into your 40's.  I am 47 and I am having a HECKYell of a time losing and especailly keeping that weight off.  It's a whole other ball of WAX after 40.  So keep doing what your doing cause it's sounds to me you all are doing a GREAT job!

VstarSmileCONGRATULATIONS on your jeans.  I would be thrilled.  You just may fit into that 12.

Today is honey's Birthday and I am going to spoil him as much as I can.  I am very grateful to have him & my family.  I feel blessed even if the world seems to be going crazy.  Thank You Group for being here as well so we can all muddle through.

SmileMake it a GREAT Day!!

Glad ta' hear ya', Green Eyes-- I always think of you as 'Bright' Green Eyes!!! Laughing

Sorry about your foot troubles-- those are also a 'benefit?' of past 40...! Exercise is so vital to weight loss efforts, and aging bodies make exercise harder after 40, too...GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yell

Happy Birthday to your Honey-- He's already Blessed ta' have you! Wink

Hang on tight through the madness around you-- it must be tough for you, and I often think of what pressure you must be under... Your Sunny outlook may be a help to those around you! Press on-- we're rootin' fer ya'! Laughing

2BB I was at the Canfield Fair. One of the larger fairs close to me. We try to go every year, my husband goes for the truck and tractor pulls (me too) but I mainly want to see and pet as many baby animals as possible.

Oh speaking of baby animals..I might be getting a beagle puppy from a friend real soon. They offered for us to take one on Sunday, and I have been thinking about it and I can't resist any longer..I gotta go see them, then I won't be able to walk away.

Walking...ugh. I fell off of the wagon!! I am trying to get myself to simply use the resistence tubes today, rather than sitting around reading all day like I have been. It is raining today should be good tomorrow though maybe I can force myself to take a walk. I still can't stand my treadmill!! I am not sure how you can walk on that kinda thing 2BB!?

Son needs his computer gotta go....bye.

VP- Darrrrrrrrling, break out the bubbly its a celebration!!! What a delight to go down so many sizes. I'm proud of you girl. Not ot mention you didn't expect it. Wow. That's inspiration, chicka. Keep up the good work. Do you know I just realized the going for the gold Hall is different from this post. I am going to check it out when I'm not at work.

Boots- This slow weight loss stinks like a freakin home perm. I lose faster when I don't work out. But, I know I have to work out to keep fit and healthy so I WILL FIND THE MEDIUM between weight loss and fitness.

Green- How's the foot? How's your mom. Hang in there. I'm working on it Green, this is an up hill battle, but I'm not going down. The weight will go down, but not me

Hello 2bb and 4 square. Yes I'm a newbie and I love it here.

4 squares--I'm so glad you came back after 4 months! And happy 1 year anniversary--you have come so far! Just imagine where you might be next year Surprised... Don't worry, I've done some slackin myself too, but as long as we always come back, I think it's very healthy!

Hope everyone is having a great day...I just got my 4 cups of fruit in..now I'm just relaxing and waiting impatiently to hear from a job
