Every once in a while I like to get some 'citrus' in me.

This morning made lemon water and now drinking it. 

I like it.  I like knowing citrus is so powerful in helping our health.

The scale was up today but I don't believe it..I'm contemplating lowering my calories but I'm not sure yet....uh, This weight loss is harder for me than the average person, my body is tricky to figure out, I will figure it out though--I promise you all that ...I'm still on my goal/plan to lose 2.8 pounds a month, I can do this, I will do this

I miss your Galley pics! I remember you as quite a good lookin' gal-- and I wondered about the exessive bmi the Phord calculator gave for you-- I believe you carry extra muscle/bone than average, and that guesstimate seems too high for you-- have you had a skin-fold test? Smile

It might help your diet plans to know your lean body weight vs. your fat weight more accurately... your calorie burn, especially! Laughing

Yes 2BB, I have all that information....Didn't help me though...I'm not sure..It's just confusing..I've tried low calorie before and didn't lose anything until I was eating like 800 calories a day, at 800 calories a day I lost like 5 pounds a week.....So how come if I'm supposedly burning 2500 calories and eating 1800 to 2000 calories, how come I can't lose weight..it makes no sense..I'm thinking about going to 1500 to 1600 calories but I just don't know..I'm so satisfied right now and I exercise 5 to 6 days a week for a minimum of 60 to 90 minutes and I get to eat ice cream too...blah..I dunno ....And 2.8 pounds a month is not too much to ask for!!!!!!

AND... I gain sooo fast!!!!!!!!!!! Yell

Maybe measuring closely on calories in, and on exercise calories out? Some of us have reduced thyroid activity, too... I'd like to get my metabolism tested, but it is expensive here... I believe your exercise should accomplish more for you!!!!! Yell

It's Frustrating! But figuring it out NOW is worth your efforts... says the 46 year old! Wink

2BB, that's the thing I am measuring closer..I think I might get my metabolism tested once my insurance kicks in , but that's not until after January...and I want to have lost 8 pounds by then.....Even if I could lose like .1 pounds  a week I would do it but I don't...it's a constant struggle and I think I must have something wrong with me but I have had my thyroid tested so I dunno, and it's wierd because I do lose weight on 800 so it's not like I can't..but I refuse to eat 800..I believe it's unhealthy and I can't live on 800...uh..sorry I just had to vent..Thanks for your support

Never, never, NEVER do you need to do 800 again... or 700 like I was dumb enough to do!!!  I'm not fussing-- I did that, too! Surprised

Bootser I know what your talking about and it feels lonely but now I see

someone besides me saying the same things. 

You know and I know that we have to try or else the scale would continue

to go up.  right?  So, don't stop with this 'life style'.  You said you were happy.

Minus the lack of weight loss. 

Lately I block out that scale.  I eat when hungry.  Eat healthy.  I count calories.

I'm doing the work.  I tweaked out desserts.  I'm adding more movements.

It's a start. 

You know I recall something that worked for me.  It's when you eat a fruit

or a veggie along with a protein.  Do it as often as you like. 

No carbs except twice a day a healthy source. 

It's not bad b/c I recall losing my appetite.  GEE I might want to look back

into something that helps with that. 

With your new TIGHT schedule You could do that and then on the weekends

relax a bit. 

Anyway, I agree with 2BB you have a sturdy strong frame.  Your not a

little frail girl.  Neither am i.

You might want to consider a hair style change.  I think your face is cute and

I picture you with a smooth hair style on occasion and then curly on others.

Something just a tad shorter but it won't look short if cut right.

Make sure your eyebrows are perhaps trimmed thinner and it will give a good

slenderizing affect. 

I'm just grabbing ideas for a change for you b/c I think you want some

change and maybe work on that.   Look for a celebrity picture and go

do something new for the holidays. 

You know Bootser when I see ppl say they are going to loose x amount of

weight in a year or a few months I just think wow.  I'm praying for 12 pounds

In a year.  That's a pound a month. 

OH and as far as thyroid goes.....

The best way to know is to take your morning temperature the very day

I took my temperature this morning 98.8 which is perfect. 

It's higher when your about to start.  Before my natural thyroid my temp

would be about 97 or 96 in the AM when Aunt flo arrived and now

it's BETTER.

You go by symptoms and your temperature. 

The finest doctors who specialize on the thyroid will tell you this. 

But there is a majority who will say otherwise.

M& M thanks for the advice but I like the way I look and even though I did gripe I'm not going to give up my current eating plan or exericse---I'm just going to tweak it a bit, thanks again so much. I think what may work for one of us does not work for all of us.....That's why I'm on my journey trying to find out exactly what works for us....I'm going to lose this weight one way or the other and I don't think I'm meant to be this size forever....

wow this day is flying by Hello GGGers.

Like you bootser I like what I'm doing but will tweak as I go. 

That's why I cut out daily desserts.  I figured that would be an area "i" could skip.

My logic was it's not healthy why go there daily and it was a cut I could live with.

I woke up this morning and said to myself anyone who thinks they can be

a normal weight and fast is mistaken.  It takes TIME but I'd rather plateau than

gain. 

Just being the healthiest happiest we can be is a great goal. 

I guess I should be amazed in how I'm consuming so many raw foods now.

I add them to everything I eat or make them the main event. 

I weigh in on Mondays regardless now of where I am with my monthly just

to keep an eye on it. 

I'm hopeful to see a 1 loss each month.  Now I'm laughing but it's still true.

Well, carry on Gang with the LIFESTYLE....

Happy to say I got 30 minutes of walking done outside DELIGHTFUL
followed by 30 minutes on the elliptical with music.  Felt good.

Breakfast was a raw veggie sandwich.  Too good.  with side order of radishes and celery.

Lunch was instant organic oatmeal and I added pistachios and raisins. 

I"m into adding things to whatever I'm eating that are healthy to help satisfy and raise the value of it's health. 

Drinking plenty of water.

What more can I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Continuing on with this LIFESTYLE not dieting.

Had my veggie sandwich at Panera followed by two open houses.

I'm on track.  Eating healthy.  EAting when truly hungry.

Had Fun Being out & about on this cold fall day.  No Sun but cozy.

Did I mention I have at least 6 trees up?  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Few more to go...

I'm on track.  I just logged my intake.  No real exercise...out and about today.

With my fish oil I tipped the calories at just under 1900

There use to be a girl on here that lost a pile of weight....I remember asking

her what her daily calories were.  She replied 1900.  She was a gal in her

Late 40's.  I remember thinking how nice and fair that sounded.

But I figured I could never get by with that many.  Well, lately I've needed

that many and so I am faithful to logging. 

It feels like I just started. In a way I have. 

I'm eating more but even healthier.  Moving more. 

Well see...

Tomorrow I weigh in even though Aunt Flo Finally arrived today. Day 30. 

I decided I don't care what that scale says.  I'm going to weigh in on Mondays.

I opted for two new nuts this week.
Pistachios and plain culinary walnuts.
I even bought a box of raisins.

Tonight, I added a lot of cinnamon to
my oatmeal as well as the raisins and
walnuts.  I mean too good and healthy.

I don't know why but adding these things
INstead of buying it with it already in there
is way better.

I do buy the organic maple organic instant oatmeal.
