Also try steel cut and cook it. Way better than instant oatmeal.

I know I've heard how steel cut is the best. Still I love how I
look forward to my organic instant b/c It's good and quick.

I bring you good news and tidings. It's possible to eat more and lose weight.
I was down one today my friends. Eating more. More healthy and little bad!
My experiment of eating really healthy when hungry is still in progress.
Including more movement but nothing that hurts me. Basic walking and my
elliptical machine. Feel free to browse my journal for what I'm doing.
Feel free to ask me questions. I don't want to be the blind leading the blind
as I'm not an expert! But a relentless pursuit is happening.
Being the diet queen and knowing they don't work I'm faced to figure out
what does work.
Lucky for me I love eating healthy. I feel I have GREAT tasting ideas.
I just served me & my man egg whites with tomatoes. One slice of dry
ezekiel toast. He said he doesn't feel sorry for me that it's good.
And he loves eating healthy more than I do which is hard to believe b/c I love
eating healthy and knowing (truly knowing) how it aids in my well being.
I think that's neat to find out what blueberries do for me (retards aging).
Or citrus (attacks cancer cells). On and on....Celery is good for blood pressure.
Radishes are good for the thyroid. Isn't that neat. Food can be medicine.
BUT I don't sit there with just a radish. nope. Imagine toast (it's so healthy that ezekiel bread)
With REAL mayo and piled high raw veggies like tomatoes and red onions and
perhaps a little or the whole avocado.
I'm sitting here and 5 meal ideas rush to my mind.
That are yummy. Satisfying and really the way we all should be learning how
to eat. Yeah, learn how to eat. haha
See, don't get me started. I love this subject as it's been a life long quest
to figure this out. I try and I try. Determined.
And now I feel I found the path and I wonder what I'll have to tweak?
So, far so good. I recall others saying they eat more and lost and I thought
well I just know that's not me. That won't work for me. Well, it is.
But the catch for me I think is WHAT i'm NOT eating. I'm not eating SUGAR
anymore. No BAD carbs and if I do it's a taste and I'm done. That is
all part of my experiment now for the past 22 days. And I can say I
lost 7 pounds. Sure they were recently gained. But they are now gone and
it took me 22 days to do it. And all the while I'm reinforcing good habits.
I eat when I'm hungry and log it. I never go hungry.
With Pms and hormones going crazy I had
to eat more and so I logged it. I recall one day 3200 calories of healthy things.
I did have some choc.choc. chip ice-cream made with cane sugar that was
simply perfect. I counted the calories for that. I don't allow sugar but cane
sugar is fine. Still it has calories. I'm keeping track. That was two days
I needed chocolate. That's not bad. Two days.
Ok well I'm just now getting on CC to log my calories. The eggwhites were so
good. I got the organic and it was user friendly.
On track and grateful something seems to be working.

Good Afternoon Gang. All is well in my world for the most part. Just plugging along trying to do all the right things. I was down one yesterday and of course I'm thinking about that today.
Last night I was given a vegetable and bean chipotle and it's been months
since I've allowed that monster of a burrito to touch me. It wasn't good to me.
Perhaps b/c I didn't order it. I know how to make things taste good.
But I gratefully ingested it and I won't say it's my last one I'll ever eat but
I am in no hurry for another. It was way to salty for my liking. I had to down
two bottles of water soon after. I looked it up and it does contain a ridiculous
amount of sodium. yuck. So, I'm glad it was Monday Night now I have a
while before next Monday weigh in.
This week will bring me some dining challenges. WEll, really for the rest of
November and December.
For instance there is a beautiful b-day cake in my house right now. Everyone knows I love cake. I said please don't get cake. They did not listen.
I'm really not interested but will have a little. I'm sugar free now on day 23 or is it day 24? I don't forsee it changing my new program. I'm to locked in and loving it.
Hope bootser is doing relatively good as she reaches for a new routine.
Slept Great 2BB and slept in as I so needed to. My bank of sleep was low.
Now I'm good to go.

I see that 2BB, MM and Safina have been holding down the fort (keeping the G4G Hall lively). Thank God!!I have been really out of the loop lately. Don't know why I cannot get going lately, but I am trying get back on track and STAY THERE! I had some medication changes and I think it has affected my get and go. I know that's no excuse, but that's my sad story.![]()
From the posts I've been reading you all are doing a GREAT job of staying on a healthy track!! Good for you! You are inspiring me to get myself in line.
I was looking at some Spring photos of Western Australia in Wunderground and was thinking of Jella. What a beautiful place. I hope she is doing well and enjoying her Spring and Summer.
Anyway, I am happy to count calories again and be a part of this wonderful group. I don't want those holiday pounds to sneak up on me so I am making an extra effort now to combat those times a comin.

I have recently found a path I like.
It works for me.
Avoid sugar and move more.
I figured something has to change and those were the two changes I could live with.
I do use cane sugar.
My new motto now for the past month:
Move more no sugar which also means avoiding bad carbs.
Another day on target.
I enjoyed walking outside in the 60 degree weather and then 30 min on elliptical
house work
Calories are low today b/c my hormones are steady. 6pm and 600 calories.
I exercised 500 calories away.
I'm off to eat something healthy and something I actually like.

Hey 2BB how's your program going?
You still keeping track of calories? I am.
I'm not over doing anything just going down middle of the road.
Mondays have become my official weigh in day but I was near and hopped on.
And holding. Nothing gained. I really do desire to lose it. That attitude is
guiding me.
I don't see many stopping in and I can only assume they are busy this time
of year or they moved on. Wishing them well.
As for me and you 2BB we have a journey still ahead of us. I'm staying course
as far as I can tell. I'm enjoying my experiment. repeats enjoying.
