Breakfast: 4 egg whites, 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 cup of raspberries

Hope everyone has a great day, I will check in later!

Hi everyone - so sorry I have been MIA this week. I am back at work and it's absolutely crazy hectic. I've been eating horribly too due to stress and just not enough time in the day. I hate that you have to pay such a price for taking a few days of vacation, dealing with all the headaches when you get back :(

Hope everyone is doing well! I am going jogging tomorrow morning, then Yoga, then Latin Spice. And hopefully walking or something on Sunday too.

Amy
Forks my furnace is working again after the repair man charged $70.00 and put on a new part.  It was soooo much cheaper than a new furnace, praise God.  My house has never felt so comfortable I think, funny how you appreciate things more after you had to do without for a while.
DWF, I just looked up a bunch of different kinds of lettuce and they all are about only .6 grams for a serving, so I guess lettuce hardly has any fiber...

I didn't know that before. I guess it's lots of "roughage", but not fiber.....

RG...in regards to your thoughts on missing certain treats.  I read how Christy Brinkley always has desert after her meal.  But only 2 bites.  I read how Cindy Crawford would eat two tablespoons of ice-cream.
That way they feel like they got something.

Itty Bitty,

Thanks, I will check out your pics. My computer is having a minor freakout so I think I will have to shut down and restart. Did you weigh in today? I did and I am VERY discouraged. Only a pound in 10 days! I am not going to give up (she says with limited conviction). I will work out tomorrow.

Friends, wish I had a nickel for all the times I picked myself up from weight loss disappointment. I would be laffing in the face of lottery winners! Stay the course, take the pledge, know you're worth it. Forks, Blue, you're doing it right!! Mess with your math your menu, your exercise and see what happens for a coupla weeks. Also I have learned not to live and die by the absolute numbers of CCC -- I think the exercise function over-estimates, and like Forks found out, the nutrition content of "mixed" foods can be off as well. So we'll do our homework, eat right, and go take a walk. We won't stuff down our disappointment with chocolate cream pie even though it feels good to do that! We'll figure out something else that feels good! We'll post our joys and concerns...huzzah, WE CAN DO IT!!!

Mel we are SOOOO proud of your achievement. Part of my G4G goal in 08 is to be under 200, what a great job you've done.

I'm not as good a cheerleader as BB (don't know how to use those smiley faces so well,) but I'm sending white light to you all this evening.

Celebrating SO's great review at work. He'll be traveling 3 weeks out of the next 2 months, starting to train for the promotion they've offered him.Belgium, France, Germany, Sweden, bet I'll get some nice postcards. I'll take care of his dog while he's away.
Have a good weekend, all.

* Waves hello! *

Brief note... (for Me!) Exhausted tonight! Gym early, food stamp office visit, then 3 hours with my friends at the nursing home sharing my 3rd daughters 7 week old Maltese puppy... He's tired, too! Wink

Got to crash some uneaten calories and get some sleep...! Can hardly think... Volunteer, standing/walking is high calorie burning by the hour- and I feel it, lol!!! Good day, over-all, but I'll check in tomorrow!

Rivergrrrl- love the pledge! And the Great attitude!

scenicskye- re-lost temp. gain to be 172 again...maybe a loss tomorrow? Gym has added weight for now, so I'll rejoice in the inches going down!

Forks- Glad you're ok...!!! Lol!!! Wink

Glad the heat is fixed, and the berries I'm hearing about are masking me hungry, guys! (Gals, lol!) Back later! Continuing GREAT 2008!!! Laughing

Hey All,

Just wanted to check in! Good day today. Met with personal trainer--got a fitness evaluation--took some body fat test and I will get the results next week. It will be great to have another number to go by besides the scale. I've eaten very good today and am on target but tonight for dinner I am going to splurge and have a Caesar salad with roasted chicken, twice baked potato, oatmeal cookies (fat free) and some chocolate chip ice-cream. (I can't be good all the time!) .. I have scheduled them within my calorie limit for the day! I have been waiting a couple of days for this.

The personal trainer told me I need to start doing more activities. So 4 days a week I meet with the personal trainer and now I need to find something to do the other 3 days of the week for like an hour. The personal trainer suggested bike riding, walking, roller-blading etc. but none of those ideas sound good to me because it's cold outside! So I'm not sure what I will do for an hour! I am going to have to brain-storm! Any ideas are much welcome.

Looks like everyone had a good day, good job G4G Gang

Exercise: 20 minutes of cardio with personal trainer

I tried Salmon tonight but I didn't like it the way I fixed it.
Does anyone have a really good recipe for salmon that helps cover up its fishy
taste?  I had it at Jacob's Field once and I liked it, but not sure
if maybe that was farmed fish and what I bought was wild.  Any suggestions would be helpful, since I ended up giving half of mine to my DH.  I ended up eating something else instead just changed my serving to half of the original and logged in the new items also.
