Everyone is Welcome
For salmon.... lemon! LOTS OF LEMON! Well I mean that's just me. Can you ever bake salmon? Like my mom uses the skillet (not like frying but...)
This is so annoying... anyone have an issue with over eating that seems to be killing them? Like the past three weeks I've been eating like at least 2,500 calories (and obviously I gained a bit of baggage) and I don't know; I've been getting cravings and well I should analyze my food journal or something. I knew I was an over eater and I eat sometimes when I'm bored but I think it's a little more than that.
Anyone got help for me trying to find out my problem and how to solve it? I was doing so well before winter break while I was in school then all of a sudden *crash ka boom!* here I am and probably not the only one stuck in something they don't understand. UGGGH! Well it's good I at least posted most of the days what I ate?
Help!

(hope everyone's enjoying the new year. Success!!)
Whew my scales budged a little bit this morning on my USWID as Molly would say. I have seen it do that on a regular basis since Dec 29th. I sure am happy to be *On The Road Again* with my weight loss.Won't be to long before I get into the 150's I hope. Thank you phox50 and hananabanana for the salmon suggestions. I poured orange juice on it lastnight and some seasoning, but it still tasted really fishy, my kids and husband liked it though. I also am trying to cut back my sodium to under 1,500 mg because of blood pressure. I have been able to do it everyday since the 19th of Dec. and now I believe I should be able to do it for life.
Anymore suggestions for salmon out there? I want the bestest recipe there is, hopefully low sodium.

IttyBitty,
Your "baby" is sooo cute!!! My daughter and I both rolled when we noticed that he was standing in the bed of a truck!! Does he sleep in the house? I am going to try to ride Aero for the first time since my surgery. I can finally fit into a boot! Wish me luck.
Hey have you ( or anyone ) had trouble adding to their logs? I only ask because I am trying to figure out if it is just my computer or a site issue.
I hope you have a great weekend!
MA
Hey everyone!! Well I just had three cruddy days in terms of my eating and stuff. I haven't counted or anything so I can't post the results here. Things at work have been so absolutely nuts. Today is Saturday though thank goodness!! I got off my arse and went jogging this morning. Think I burned about 400 calories in 45 mins of jogging and 15 mins of walking.
I am not an in-shape runner. In past years I used to run quite a bit but not for the past few years. I have only been jogging about twice a month. And today I ran with a friend of mine who just ran a full marathon a couple of weeks ago -- 26.2 miles!! So I felt a bit inadequate. But still proud of myself for getting out there.
YAY for the weekend!!!
Amy
dances with forks: Thanks dances with forks that really helps! I know planning works... the only issue I guess is my mom's cooking. She doesn't plan what she's going to cook; she cooks whatever she feels like cooking. Because some of the food she cooks is not traditional or necessarily American it's hard to retrieve some of the nutritional information.
But planning is a great idea... I really need to find out how to organize life and all. They also say keeping like a diary of your feelings or everything alone with a food journal and exercise log is great. Wow that's just like CC.
Amy: I love running! Was your friend in the Chicago marathon or anything? My math teacher ran that and boy was I just shocked 'cause it was so hot that day and everyone was literally dieing of the sun. Running is the best. I hope you feel better with it.
scenicskye: Sometimes I do have trouble with the food log 'cause either the foods not there or it's a major slow connection or something. Unless you have like wireless internet or something it would be your computer or a modem connection.
I was going to fast today but then I thought maybe that would be a little extreme so I made myself some apple crisp (not the healthiest but not the fattest). I had like a small slice of pizza with no cheese. Now I feel like everytime I eat even the littlest thing I may gain like 10 pounds in one day. Not that I'm going to become aenorexic or anything but so far that's how I feel does anyone feel like that or anything?
Enjoy your weekend,
hananabanana

Wow thanks for the support danceswithforks! Ok I guess will power comes into play when it comes to temptation or over eating and stuff like that. So far today from 12- 4:30pm I consumed about 1,300 calories. Is that good at all? I know that a great way to be successful with weight loss or maintenance is to keep meals balanced through out the day.
Breakfast:
3 small sqs home made apple crips (180 cal.)
1 tbs nonfat vanilla yogurt (9 cal.)
1 pizza without cheese (150 cal... I just logged in with cheese)
1 cup home made unsweetened apple sauce (100 cal.?)
Soy Joy bar, Berry (130 cal.)
1/2 medium banana (53 cal.)
Lunch:
1 cup home made unsweetened apple sauce (100 cal.?)
1/4 cup mom's rice pudding (140 cal.?... I logged in "Rice pudding-It's pudding!")
About 1 1/2 cup long grain brown rice (325 cal. It said on the bag 150 cal per 3/4 cup though but CC says other-wise)
About 1 cup mom's chicken stir fry (190 cal. I logged in "Chicken Stir Fry- Life Style")
When it comes to eating I don't necessarily do it by breakfast, lunch, dinner. I tend to snack more than eat a meal unless we have guests at the house and all then I'd eat more at one time.
Any thoughts on my eating patterns and what I should seriously do? I love to experiment with baking but I'm a horrible cook (I ended up throwing away my apple crisps)
Hope you guys have happy days

My fat is still a little higher than I'd like, but I'll tell you why... We were at the grocery store and hubby was with me. He got a box of 6 Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I'm proud of myself though. I only had one!! That was 270 of today's calories. So far there's only 1 left in the box, so temptation's almost over! lol
Got 60 minutes in on the bike trainer today, as did not want to ride outside in the rain with snow still on the ground. So that was good for 760 calories burned. I didn't count all the walking around today, I usually walk around pretty much during the day so its not really worth counting as "burn."

Checking in! I can see that weekends are going to be "Lurking Days" for me! I'm usually busy with Friday plans, Saturday cleaning, music practice, Sunday services... and nap time, lol!!! ![]()
I've enjoyed reading everybody's posts! Scenicskye- he's bigger now and much prefers his pasture to my slippery wood floors, lol!!! He is loved when he gets to visit the Nursing Home, too. He needs better transportation, now, though, as we added a tool body to the truck and the gas it guzzled was outrageous! The old Datsun work-car, (with one front seat taken out), got a bit too smelly for my husband's liking, too... ![]()

The matting we tried to use failed when we had a breakdown and delay before we reached home... with the windows DOWN....!!!! ![]()

Hi all: just wanted to check in. I'm still brainstorming about what I will do for exercise on days I don't see my personal trainer: I'm thinking about joining exercise classes at a local gym. I'm thinking about taking up turbo kick-boxing and a spin class. I think I will try to get a 30 day membership that way if I don't like it then it won't last long. Anyone ever taken a class? What are your thoughts on them? I've always been intimidated but now that I have been seeing my personal trainer for over 3 weeks now, I don't feel intimidated anymore.
Breakfast: 1 cup of oatmeal, 1 cup of cottage cheese, 1 cup of blueberries
Lunch: 1 whole wheat tortilla, Two 1/4 cups of fat free cheese, roasted chicken, 3 cups of cucumbers, 1 cup of red-bell peppers, 1 cup of green bell peppers, 1/2 cup of red tomatoes, 1 cup of celery
I can never get the right balance of fruit and vegetables. I either eat way too many fruits or way too many vegetables. I need to learn how to balance that out! I have to go to the store tonight to pick up some more fruits. I will get it right eventually. I will check back later to post my nutrition.
