My stats for my 8th month here. My profile says May 12, but I go by 7-to7 each month and print it for future reference and sharing- handy! ![]()
My avg. calories run 1250 when I use 1350 or less for gym days to allow for extra protein. A few days were skipped this month as impossible to guesstimate, and I missed a lot of gym time in Dec. Days unlogged were good, but higher fat, etc. probably.

Exercise = 90 minutes of power yoga. The 12th or 13th chataranda (down dog, plank, yoga pushup, hold for five breaths, up dog, jump forward and flow to the next pose) about killed me, but now I'm stronger. Told SO on the phone tonight I hope I look just like Christie Brinkley at the end of this 12-week exercise odyssey. Ha! (if Christie Brinkley wore a bike helmet)

Hi 2bb!!
I have been up for quite a while but I have been busy cleaning house and exercising. I really slacked on the exercise for a while but I am in it now stronger than ever. I just got off of the treadmill, I walked for 55 min. as I finished watching "My Big Fat Greek Wedding". I will have to buy more dvd's as a reward for my finished goals. I need some up beat movies nothing too sappy while trying to exercise. The Greek music was good to walk to.
I am going to get something to eat now....bye.
Hi all! Erin the lurker here. Just wanted to say that I bagged out of exercise yesterday, but my guilt ate and ate at me this morning when I woke up at 4:40 and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and went to a 5:45am cycling class! Yay me!
And it was FULL! I couldn't believe that! Go New Year's resolutioners ;) I have never seen so many people there so early. Of course it probably won't be long until several have dropped... but in my mind I wished them the best anyway...
It got me thinking... it must feel somewhat discouraging to finally decide to work out, start coming in, then seeing very ultra fit people all around (I think there are many ultra fit people at this particular location). Anyway, I said a little prayer for them they wouldn't drop off :)

Hi! Erinlf! Glad you're back! I agree with you on the ultra-fit! I started while so heavy it would feel awful for me to be around them, too...that's why I bought my own gym equipment when I had insurance money to spend after a house fire... Besides that, I wouldn't want to have to get ready to go anywhere before I exercised- I have to wash my hair every morning, and it would be too much to me!!! I'm amazed at your early trip- Good Job!!! No more guilt after THAT!!! ![]()

Hey all,
Busy day for me--no time to check in. I just got done doing cardio work-out with the trainer. Does anyone ever get done with cardio and then not have an appetite? I just got done and am really exhausted from the work-out and am not hungry at all. I plan on eating some cottage cheese and maybe some raspberries just to get over 1200 calories but that will be it. I did eat carbs before my work-out so maybe that's why I'm not hungry? I dunno.

Today I had something I don't normally deal with....hunger!!! I suppose it had to do with an hour on the treadmill but I was hungry...really hungry. I ended up eating a South Beach Cereal Bar and boy that was yummy and satisfying. I took some clementines off of my log so I could enjoy that bar, I wanted something to sink my teeth into..know what I mean??
I walked for 1 1/2 hrs total today and did 15 min of strength training.

Hello GGGers.
My menus are posted in my journal every day, even if I don't get them posted here.... in case anyone is interested. ![]()
I met my January exercise goal for the first week of January (last week) ... 90 minutes of cardio. And, so far this week, I'm on track. My plan is to do 90 minutes per week for January, then increase it by 30 minutes for February to 120 minutes, then another 30 minutes for March to 150 minutes, etc. I am so heavy and so de-conditioned that I'm trying to be careful and take things slowly ... especially due to my diabetic neuropathy, bad knees, asthma and cardiac issues. But I keep reminding myself that "slow and steady wins the race!"
I also posted in my journal about what a great, healthy snack pistachios are!!!
I have a job interview next Monday (Jan 14) at 12:30pm for a part-time position ... so please keep your fingers crossed for me! I'm wanting to help get our savings replenished, and a part-time job seems to be the best solution for that. Anyway, between now and then I will be trying on clothes and figuring out what to wear. (I'm currently thinking khaki and red...)

I do feel less hungry after hard work, but try to do good for what I know I need- like a protein shake after weight lifting, etc. ![]()
Other times- like after cardio, as in walking- I feel ravenous and miss the extra cals I get on gym days! Sounds like what 4sq had today! Doing great with the exercise, 4sq!!! AWESOME nutrition to me!!! I can't have that many cals usually, and you balanced them sooo nicely!!! ![]()
When I reach my goal weight I'll only be allowed 1400 sedentary. Gonna' be hard to lose at the end with no-less-than-1200 eaten daily and only nearly 1400 burned daily- I'll HAVE to exercise then if I want to get above a 200 deficit!!! The difficulty of those "Last pounds" is finally explained here at CC!!! ![]()
