Everyone is Welcome
I'm going to do about 20+ minutes of excersize with bands and weights. I just scanned ahead through Fitv's workouts today and they have a Gilad's workout at 1:30. It's a butt one, so I might do that also. He usually kills me! So I'm sure my butt will be in pain tomorrow. There's also "Shimmy" on right before that. LOL Maybe I'll give that one a try also! My tummy really needs some work! hehehe
Anyone at home and want to join me in the pain?????
Back from store- grocery bills ARE Pain!!! Lol!!! ![]()

Gym for weight lifting for me today- 3x a week means today and Saturday. Rebounding, etc. as much as can, too. Rainy day here and busy with cooking, etc. Nap-time weather doesn't help motivation, either, lol!!!! ![]()
Enjoy your exercise--- IF you CAN...!!!! ![]()
I'm here, I'm here ... been answering PMs. Does anyone else get about 20 PMs a day from people on here, all asking for advice or help? Wow! So many people wanting to eat healthier... how very encouraging!
Anyway, I just spent some time writing some Getting Started Tips... not that any of you need them!

Does anyone know of any simple ways to prepare eggplant that doesn't involve a lot of other ingredients or an oven?
Microwave ...ok, toaster oven .... ok, electric frying pan ... ok)
(I've never purchased or eaten an eggplant, but was thinking about trying something new.... and I really like my veggies just simply cooked, and then seasoned (as opposed to making eggplant lasagna or something like that.)
An eggplant enigma ....

I did about 15 minutes of weights/bands. Than I did one of the Gilads workouts that was on TV. That's 30 minutes with commercial breaks. Than I also tried Shimmy (LOL), so that was another 20 minutes or so.
Weigh in tomorrow!
I haven't done GREAT, but I've lost about 10 lbs in 2 months. I wasn't perfect over the holdays or anything though...
I think when you first get on CC it recommends the 1250 calories a day because it's set on the fastest possible time to get to your goal. If you check under the tools they have allowance and expenditure. Play around with those tools until you figure out more what you should be eating..
I plugged in your stats in the allowance tool. I put 40 years old, 211 lbs, 5'5" with a lightly active lifestyle. I didn't know what to put for the goal, so I left it at 160. I left the goal date empty and this is what it came up with....
You should consume about 1550 calories a day to reach your goal weight of 160 lbs.
This is at a reasonable weight loss average of 1.5 lbs per week, which should be reached by September 04, 2008.
Remember that this estimate is based on your body weight, height, age, gender, and activity level. It may vary slightly depending on other factors.
If you put a later goal date in than it will say you can eat more calories and lose less per week.
Find your scale! I bet it will be better than you think!
(I have myself down as sedentary, because I'm a stay at home mom and alot of the time I'm sitting. I don't feel like I'm moving around a whole lot. There's no yard work or nothing to do right now.... Then I just plug in my workouts that I do.)
3 rd day in a row I walked for 1 1/2 hours while watching "The Ugly Dachshund"...lol. I am trying to keep in movies that I haven't seen in a while. Tomorrows movie will be "2 Fast 2 Furious". I also did my 30 min of strength training.

2 Fast 2 Furious....... ugh........ That's one of my hubby's favorites..... I've seen it WAY too many times!
Where's one of 2BEITTY BITTY's boxes that I can hide that movie in! LOL :D
(sniffs, proudly looks around, gazing at everyone exercising...)
Forks, you can come over to my house and use my scale, in a pinch, of course. LOL Forks lives up the road from me IRL (how 'bout that?)
Boots, how's school goin? Where's Skye? How's her biking going?
Good work Molly on the kick-off email, that'll be helpful for people. Maybe you can start a "Dear Molly" website and sell advertising for the products you recommend to be healthy, (eg "I buy English Muffins cause they've been Mollified -- the healthy seal of approval -- that'd be a good home bizness.) I have a friend in CA that hosts websites, PM me if you want the info...
Well, I had meetings until 9 pm this evening, so no running the steps at the stadium. That's Ok, have been working out hard this week, and have a long bike ride planned for Saturday.
OK, so here's some (big) news...I ordered a wedding dress today. On-line, even. And it's RED! Our event is going to be a pretty laid-back affair, not even an affair really, more like a gathering. With lots of color (tablecloths), and prayer flags I made/block-printed of multi colors, and a bunch of twinkling lights and candles. Also a friend of mine will paint henna patterns on my hands and the small of my back. Plus food (a cookout), friends, some cake, and my friend Rick's band, the Sloes. And a spiritual ceremony, where my uncle and godfather will lead everyone in the promises SO and I have written. It's not til' August, so we have quite a bit of time to get it together. Oh yeah, it will be at a beautiful spot on the Ohio river. Now that we're full into 2008, I keep stopping short to realize what a big year it's going to be. Hoping to be as heathly as I can be -- body, mind and spirit. Thanks to all of you for your support and willingness to listen!

OOO a wedding and a red dress--sounds real nice. I'm guessing your order a size too small or are you just going to take it in-you probably will have to anyways? School is just crazy. I'm working on my Masters degree--I feel like I have no time for a real life. Lucky for me I get Friday through Sundays off so it's a time just for me to veg most of the time I don't feel like studying. I'm glad this week is over! Now I have a long weekend--to read and read because graduate school is about reading and writing papers. My hubby told me today that my face is changing--he kept looking at it--made me laugh--so I guess my double chin is going away --yea! He also said that he could tell I was loosing weight around my waist! Which I could already tell you that, I didn't notice my face though! I'm excited!. Molly, right now I go by CC's standards and I always have--the weight loss is very very slow but I don't mind--the slower the healthier the better right? In 3 months I am down about 7 pounds, I say about because last week I held a lot of water and the scale was up. I just got a personal trainer though so I'm hoping that speeds up the process.
Exercise: 20 minutes of weight lifting with personal trainer (I felt like my arms and legs were going to fall off!)
Nutrition: 1627 calories--I bought a whole wheat pizza from the store it was high in sodium o'well I have tomorrow to wash it all out!

Today I think I will wait a bit on my weight and accentuate the positive!! Right at the moment the scales are changing everytime I stand on them. I know later on they will cooperate, but they might not since I have been exercising a whole lot.
So the positive would be the inches lost. I began my diet on Oct 8th and didn't measure for the first time until Nov. 16th because I was a chicken, but I was in a plateau and needing something to change if the weight wasn't going to. Well since Nov. 16th I have lost a grand total of 13.5 inches!! here is a breakdown of my areas I lost in
widest part of thigh .5 lost
saddlebag area all the way around(higher than thigh) 3 inches lost! ![]()
