Woo hoo -- FYI -- Elf ran 13.1 miles today!! That's 6.6ish miles per hour. So under 10 minutes a mile, wowee so great! Whew, that's a long haul. I don't like to do more that 10K (6.8 miles) when I hafta run.

Boots and 4SQ -- feel better soon! Forks, what new goodie did you invent in the kitchen today?

Report for 1/13/08

Calories = 1850 Burned = 2350 Deficit = 500

(Ate a little more today since had such a big deficit yesterday. I was hungry today, and ate good stuff, including some french toast with egg beaters for brekkie, pbj for lunch with pickles and veggies on the side, and ground turkey sloppy joe for supper on lite english muffins, w/ fat free cheese and a bunch of steamed stir fry veggies. Treats this evening include clementines, granny smith apple, and low-fat popcorn. Food hint -- shake 1/2 tsp of brown sugar and 1/4 t of cinnamon into the popcorn mini bag, tastes just like kettle corn, mmmm.)

Exercise - went on a slow 2-mile run, and did my core strength exercises. No lingering aches from the long ride yesterday, Yay!

I was so stressed today and I was in the kitchen the WHOLE time; eating pie from the refrigerator then my stomach felt real full. I think this healthy living thing is getting to me 'cause I feel so horrible today because of all the junk I ate; I guess I'm not used to it.

I wanna make healthy blue berry muffins! I hope my dad lets me buy the ingredients from the store or something.

Didn't post most of the nutrition information but I'm estimating I probably ate around 2,000-2,500 cal or something.

Maybe I should think of foods as money.

The amount I should be eating is 1,500 cal so I can only eat up to 15 100 cal food or 7.5 200 cal food or 5 300 cal food.

How do you guys count your calories without actually logging them down in a journal or something?

Hopefully happy days are just around the corner;

A couple off off-topic things .... (heh heh heh, how could ANYTHING be "off topic" in a thread where we discuss everything?)

First, I added some funny diet cartoons to my profile ... if you need a smile, check them out.

Second, just a reminder that my job interview for the University of Michigan part-time research position is tomorrow (Monday, Jan 14) at 12:30pm California time. Please keep this in your thoughts/prayers .... and keep your fingers crossed!

Yay, Erin!!!

HB? Blueberry muffins sound yummy.

Oh, and forks? Next time the popcorn munchers are having popcorn, make yourself up a crunchy plate of sliced radishes, cherry tomato halves, cucumber slices ... even baby carrots and water chestnuts ... season with lemon juice and vinegar and any salt-free spice you want! You get all the crunch without the fat and sodium that so often goes along with popcorn!

=^..^= MOLLY

YAY!!!! ERIN!!!!!!! LaughingLaughingLaughing

Did "The Gold Gang" proud!!!! WinkLaughing

Thanks for the info, rivergrrrl-- that's REALLY IMPRESSIVE!!! Surprised

Again, I say, I'd DIE!!! Lol!!! Tongue outTongue outTongue out

SOME of this Gang is WAAYYY TOO TOUGH for ME, lol!!!! Cool

Hope the ear problem clears up quickly, bootser1! No Fun!!! Surprised

Take care of yourself, 4sq!!! Ouch!!! Surprised

Now,  I think muffins sound good...! Blueberries are a 'Super-Super-Food', too! Laughing

Folks are doing good and sensible...which is successful in the long run! I do think like  food=money as in a 'budget' and 'what can I afford?' Helps me in not thinking 'I can't have that!' vs. 'I can...but do I really WANT it enough to PAY for it?' Mentally healthier to me.

Gotta' go check Molly's cartoons before bed... Laughing

Been a good day for the Gang! Especially, Good Job, Erin!!! Thanks for posting your success today! Sweet calorie-free Dreams, everybody!!! Laughing

(Place glasses on end of nose, and gazes across desk...)

"Hmmm, Miz Mouser, just another question to finish up. If your working style was like an animal, what animal would it be?"

Hee-hee, just kidding! Molly, if you speak only half as articulately as you write, they'd be crazy not to take you on. And I also heard that interviewers are physically unable to leave the room without offering people wearing red shoes the job.

We'll be here to listen how it goes for you, and sending those warm positive vibes~~~~~~~your way. (to the west, in my case!)

GOOD MORN--INNNGGG, GANG......!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Laughing

(Plee-aassseee don't tell me what "Early Birds" get... I TRY to not THINK about THAT!) Tongue out

* yawn ! slurp! gulp, gulp, gulp...*

Coffee... gotta' have coffee to face morning light and frost... It's cold out there! I have to 'gallivant,'  today... in the cold...! Surprised

Gonna' be gone a lot, so, Carry on, Gang!!! Laughing

Loved Molly's cartoons...!!! Lol!!! Wonder if Erin was able to calm down enough to relax and sleep last night? LaughingCool
