Dinner went well ... but as best as my guesstimating goes, I was almost 1900 calories for the day. (Maintenance would be 2400 ... so it was still a 500-calorie deficit for the day, but still!)

I must say, it was delightful and since I had the PMS hungries yesterday anyway, going over my daily calories by 400 didn't seem entirely out of the realm of reason, ya know? This was the most calories I've eaten in one day in over 5 months, so it will be interesting to see if it impacts the scale.  I doubt it will, honestly .... but I do think PMS and TOM will impact the scale come this next weekend!  Oh well.... my wonderful DH thinks February should be officially designated a Maintenance Month since I will be out of town 14 days of it,

That DOES have a nice sound to it, doesn't it? 5 months of hard-core dieting, 1 maintenance month. Then back to hard core calorie counting. Somehow, I bet that would probably do my metabolism some good.  Of course, I still have to watch my carbs/blood sugar like a hawk (even on Maintenance), but it does mean I can eat ..... drumroll, please .... a teensy bit more cheese!

I hope everyone had a great day. Tam, I too, like your idea. Along with the blueberries. My favorite. I love them frozen! (my dogs like them that way, too) Hey I had some great news and some not-so-great news today. I tried on a pair of pants this morning and they were TOO BIG!!! Yippppeeee. I was so excited, I almost called in sick...haha. I don't weigh in until friday so I hope there is good news on the scale.

Then I got the ugly news. The physical therapist for my ankle told me that my surgeon doesn't want me to ride my horse for another 3 weeks! (This after the PT said I could) grrrr. Oh, okay (she says, dejected). I had fun with him anyway...I just turned him loose in the barn and he followed me around like a puppy. He's so cute. Tried to eat the zipper on my coat.

Well, my totals for the day were pretty good except for sodium. Way too high at 2600mg (but the chile I ate was really good). I ended up with 1200 cals, 28g of fat and 20 min walking. I am going to bed early tonight so I will work harder tomorrow.

I'm tired. Long long day and it's not over yet. I leave in 40 minutes to go see personal trainer--o'well---Tis a good end to the day. Forks, wow your getting in so much exercise--that is great! Scenicskye it's great that your pants fit loser isn't--I love it! Right now, I'm in between sizes and I can't wait to go down 2 full size so I can buy new pants--I'm honestly just bagging it right now--not the loveliest look but when you don't have much money it works! Tam wow, 6 pounds  in less than 6 days, is that right? Great job! 2BB, I'm sure your exercising like crazy--keep up the good work! Molly, I thank 1 month off but half/way off sounds nice! Soupbones, I welcome you here-it's a nice group. I'm waiting to here from 4sq and RG and anyone else that I'm missing! Have a great evening or good night if I don't catch up with you all soon!

Hi Everyone!

I hope RG is doing good with the packing, I could use your energy here in my house to help me pack!!!! 

I've been *lurking* today in between packing and cleaning and grocery shopping and schooling.  Now I'm fully stuffed and satisfied thanks to MOLLY!!!  I ordered the shiratake noodles from www.miraclenoodles.com and have to say they are quite a wonderful product!!  The first couple of bites were weird because they had no taste other than the sauce the tomatoes they were mixed with and the texture was different from regular pasta.  Not bad... just different and took a few bites to really get used to.  Anyway, I ate a bag on those noodles with italian seasoned stewed tomatoes and 1/2 of a roasted garlic chicken breast and I AM STUFFED!!  I think I'm going to LOVE having these noodles.  I might have to order some of the "rice" substitute they make... Have you tried those yet Molly?

Here is my day:

Breakfast:
2 poached eggs on toast
2 pieces of toast with ICBINB spray

Snack:
Special K Vanilla crisp bar (before grocery shopping to keep from splurging)

Lunch:
Double Cheeseburger from McD's..... YES, that's the second one in 5 days... P M S

Snack:
Gala apple
1/2 cup green grapes

Dinner:
1/2 roasted garlic chicken breast
1 bag shiratake noodles w/ 1 cup stewed tomatoes
5 baby carrots

Treat:
Hershey's bar.....  YES... this was a bad day and I'll pay tomorrow

 

Horrible day for nutrition, but didn't do too terrible for cals.  Got 3 boxes packed up and moved to the garage and I'm hoping to get a few more done before bedtime.  Now I'll get that done and go back to *lurking* with 2BB!! 

 

 

Hi friends,

No time to lurk today; have been 100 mph all day long. Got up early, took out more bags of trash that are not recylcable or Goodwill-able, re-attached the shade on the front porch light, scraped and stained the beadboard on the porch ceiling (was a pretty nice day here today, luckily...) Then worked for about 3 hours, headed to the basement to do "touch-ups" to my paint job, packed away some books, cleaned off my desk, gathered all my charitable deductions stuff for my taxes, and then, voila, the people were here for the walk-through of the house.

It went very well, they like my little bungalow and will write up the contract for SALE this evening. Then Mike and I will update our contract, the swap is set, and next week I'll followup and get all the loan applications in (a huge PIA since I'm self-employed.) So if I can request your prayers and support for some more one day at a time stuff, I'd sure appreciate the love.

Headed out to a meeting at 4:30, and to the gym for a workout at 6:30. We learned some great stuff to loosen up the hips, the squats (two hands and no hands) were killer, as usual. I'm looking forward to yoga tomorrow night, I need to get stretched out from all this cardio I've been doing.

I've been Lurking while eating a late Dinner-- Sooo Tired!!!! Tongue out

After toting a VERY large and a quite small cat for 3 hours, off-and-on, visiting my friends at my favorite Nursing Home, and making some new friends...! Laughing I was TIRED!!!

Then, I visited my Mom... Then took the poor wore-out kitties home-- before going shopping for can't-wait-no-more groceries, lol! Don't like to shop! Yell

Wore the hrm and checked it through the day for the information it is giving me, as I know I'm always exhausted when I do these things...! (Ran in the big, dark parking lot with my daughter, too- higher heart rate! Fun!!!)

 I burned 510 extra cals before shopping- and didn't get the morning routine of washing protesting cats, etc! Shopping and cooking gave me another 250, so with my diet deficit, I've got a high burn day...without exercise! 1200 in vs. 2500 out...if it's really accurate! I'm testing for now to see... WinkLaughing

I've enjoyed everybody's posts-- want to see Rivergrrrl's links! And  I was going to type what I learned/changed with the Nutritionist's advice... but I'm too tired to concentrate! Tongue out

I succeeded in getting all my out-of-home business done today so I can stay home and seriously work on my exercise/deficit goals for the week, so I'll be around tomorrow! Laughing

2BB, I feel so good with low-carbs--I eat lots and lots of veggies and time my carbs for the right time when I need them--I never have had an bad side affects--lol! I feel good--I promise--thanks!

Did you ever have a day where you just want to spend the entire day in your jammies and eat cereal for breakfast and lunch?  I am seriously thinking about having such a day tomorrow .... (I would still eat a normal dinner with veggies and still keep an eye on my calories/blood sugar.)

Hmmm... I must be going through a weird mid-winter phase or something.

Hi soupbones...good morning!

We were up until 1 in the morning trying to get things that she eats entered into her log....Surprised(yawn!). Of course you get two women together, we did other talking too and I loved her little chihuahua, Samson (no resemblance to the biblical one!!)

I have been quiet for a few days because of discouragement. Didn't want to keep complaining about the plateau I am in. Yesterday I had a weigh in and I lost nothing in one week. Could be close to TOM, atleast I hope that is my problem, plus extra stress.
