Going 4 the Gold Today!!! Laughing

yeah,

I live in North Dakota and we're going through one hell of a cold snap!  It sucks... I like my asics...they treat me good and for a little extra support I get inserts from walmart.. It helps out with my feet and all the way up.

Hi all, just wanted to check in real fast this morning. Boots was real tired--fell asleep by 11am and out of bed by 9am but guess what? I'm still tired, sometimes I don't think my body has enough time to catch up and when I do sleep in (like today) I think I freak my body out by getting 3 extra hours of sleep--strange! I'm so excited! I'm going to get new shoes today-- specifically for exercise! I don't have the money to splurge but my birthday is coming up and I will get birthday money from family so I'm just going to go ahead and get the shoes! I need them. The other day when I was jogging to 2 miles I promise I could have made it further if my feet didn't hurt, I had blisters and my ankles hurt--not good--I paid like $30 for the shoes, so now I'm going to get like $100 shoes. I will let you know how it goes. The place where I am going measures your feet and then they do a full 30 to 40 minute evaluation of your feet and put you on a treadmill to see how you walk and then they take pictures and then they tell you what shoes would be the best for you! I'm excited! Ok, welp, I am going to get them later but right now I am going to do cardio with the person trainer. Welcome, blondee, I will catch in with you all later!

WOW!!! Surprised

Great day for shoe buying and trying... wonder what Rivergrrrl and Erin like...??? Laughing

you know i was on the website www.runnersworld.com and they show how to relace your shoes so you won't get blisters when running.  I tried it and it really made a difference.. If the $100 shoes still give you blisters you should check it out..Really interesting.

blondee--

Thanks for that link! I had to search, but the, "loose around the ankle," video was great! Gotta' try That! Laughing

The City shut off the water to the entire neighborhood this morning while I was sudsy and MID-shower. Grrrrrrrrrrr. I felt like I was camping as I trudged outside to stand nekkid next to the hot tub (it's in the back yard), so I could use a bucket to scoop out hot water and rinse off .... then it was Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  I hurried inside in lieu of drying off outside in 40 degree weather and managed to create some impressive puddles in the kitchen and down the hallway, too.

I seem to be in cereal rut day #2 .... (my eating habits can get weird when it's my TOM) ... Kashi Go Lean and USVAB for breakfast, two cups of puffed Kamut and USVAB (so far) for lunch.  We bought more veggies, and I am just staring that them so far ... not actually eating them. And I don't even seem to want any Thomas' light multigrain english muffins! (EEEK! GASP!)

I will treadmill in a bit ... just drying things off here.

=^..^= MOLLY

POOR MOLLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  SurprisedSurprisedSurprised

Have Fun, Boss!!! Laughing

Gym day here! Surprised

Quick hello, more later! So we've got a bunch of semi G4G nudists today, eh?! (snicker...)

Welcome blondee -- glad to know ya. (tips hat...) I must agree w/ ya, my shoes right now are Asics, as well. New Balance were my previous pair. Pretty much have stuck with those two brands through the years. We have a store here in Ohio called The Running Spot (Forks -- it is in Oakley, on Madison Road.) They are the best! Talk to you, fit you, have 100s of shoes to choose from, and definitely get you into the correct ones. SO got me new running shoes for christmas, I think they were about $95. I really like them, and good sizing (I'm 10.5, w/ a wide foot and high instep) that fit CORRECTLY. It's so worth it to have the right shoes. (avoid shin splints, keep your posture right, etc.)

Guess what friends, my size 12 slacks fit loosely this AM as I got ready for work. What excitement! I think I have another 15-20 lb until a smaller size, but my "work" clothes looked really nice today, which helped relieve my stress a good bit from the boost of confidence.

 more later

Hey all,

Look at all the talk! I couldn't pass it up so I thought I would write a line! Forks, I will let you know how the whole thing goes with the shoes--I'm waiting for my hubby to get off school so he can go with me, it's a 40 minute drive and I don't feel like going by myself. I will tell you all details.

So I just got back from my personal training session! It was amazing. Guess what? I am able to jog on the treadmill now--the trainer had me at 6.2 mph--how's that--? I felt great, it was wonderful--Yea! I'm so excited! This stuff is great!

RG---that's so exciting---Your pants being loose, that's great! I know it does make a person feel better! Feel good all day

Forks--let us know how the exercise went with the weights

Molly--sorry about the water--you made me laugh--I was just thinking--do you live out in the country--Just curious--I don't know many city people who would go in their back yards in the buff

2BB--My grandmother swears by SAS shoes--I tried them once but they hurt my stupid wide feet!

blonde--I will check out that website--but also if I am paying $100 for shoes they better not give me blisters or they are going back to the store!

Ok, just checkin in, I have the day off, so I'm sure I will be here a bunch more! Later gang!

blondie HI!!

I am wearing my size 14's today and lovin' it.

Hello there!  Feb 1st is right around the corner, Ms Dancer! I see you are getting ahead of the game! I hope that I can do at least half of the exercise you do! I am going to my Son's wedding on Friday so I will be back on here Monday the 4th! How are we going to do this? Let me know the format you want to use!

Hello to everyone!

*waving arm back and forth......*

I think that's one thing about my job that I dislike.. I wear scrubs all day everyday so when I actually get to wear my jeans, I'm like "holy **** did I gain weight or did I gain weight, or did my husband dry my jeans".

I would love to get outside to run today, but it's still way to cold out..it think it said -12 degrees...gotta love North Dakota.  I'll just have to do a workout video at home after my errands tonight.

I just did a no, no...but it tasted so good.. I just had a snack of lays potato chips with french onion dip. I stayed within the serving size,  and I know I'll just have to compensate for all the calories later.

Hey does anyone have any smart snack ideas for super bowl?
