14 pounds gone!
I finally got a scale for the first time since starting me diet. I was so scared that it the number was going to be the same as when I first started. I had originally weighed myself at the gym about a month ago and after getting my scale...I've lost 14 pounds! I feel so much better and my skin has cleared up a bunch.
I'm doing 1400-1700 calories a day and limiting my fat/sugar/sodium intake...I know I can do it this time. My jeans are fitting better and I have more energy...yay!
Well done!! Sounds like you're seeing a lot more benefits than just weight-loss alone.
Yahoo!
That's terrific Heather! Seeing the numbers go down is such great motivation, too!
That's awesome! I was just thinking about how much I love reading people's posts expressing their joy at weigh-ins and fitting into smaller clothes.
Thanks for that. Very motivating.
What a motivation...I am also going to buy a scale today. But, some advice for you guys, try not to weigh everyday, lol! Once a week is better. Seeing yourself lose 1 pound a day can get kind of boring, and when you slip up badly and gain back a pound, you see it on the scale...then go back to the dieting, look at the scale again, and see you back and lost that pound. It can get kind of old.
AWESOME!!!

I agree with you. I confess that I'm now overly obsessive with weighing in everyday. Well seeing myself losing only 1 pound a day is okay for me, better than nothing. But the point is, in the case of gaining a few pounds back , I started groaning out silly things like "The scale is lying!" (which in fact, it is me lying to myself). Thanks for the advice!
Yeah! You should really be proud of yourself! 14 lbs is a lot and you seem to be on the a great track.
I needed that kind of motivation today!
Congratulations Heavenlydancer24 for your accomplishment. However you said you are doing 1400-1700 calories a day and limiting your fat/sugar/sodium intake... I know this is more of a question for food, but can you or anyone one here help me out on this. Everything you mentioned is in everything we eat right... So how do you determine what is too much of either of them? I'm still in Phase I, trying to learn all that I can.
that's awesome! you're ganna do great with the rest of your loss, I just know it.
You keep it up Heather! You go girl! You can do it because you just did it!
I know what you mean about your skin looking better. My skin has cleared up so much since I started eating better. Its great!

Fat/sugar/sodium...I limit them by never adding fat, sugar, or salt to anything. So I may eat chicken which has fat...but i won't add the other two to it. :D
that is a good point to make, I forget to add in the additional salt I put on my food. Or the sugar I add to my tea.
Great Job Heather Keep it Up.![]()
