What is a good amount of time to go jogging??

Today i went jogging for about half an hour..i guess you could say it was a moderate jog, with average hills to jog...how long do you go jogging for?? Do teenagers need more physical activity as they grow up??? just wondering.

It all depends on your body, your goals, and what you feel comfortable with! Push yourself a little bit, but not too hard, and you'll be fine.
A half-hour of cardio daily is good. (You probably jogged about 2.75 miles today.)

I strive for 35-40 miles per week of outdoor running. I'm 48 years old. Have been running for about 8 months. You're on the right track (no pun intended!) with daily physical activity in your teens. This habit will serve you well now and in the future. Keep at it!

I run anywhere from 10-45 minutes a night - generally around the 20-25 minute mark but sometimes I get lazy...and sometimes I'm insanely full of beans!
I do all my running on a treadmill and try to do 5km in half-an-hour. This burns a little more than 300 calories for my body weight. 

If I'm feeling tired though, I just do a quick walk at a steep incline for a longer period of time until I've burnt the equivalent amount of calories.

It's the same workout essentially but I find it easier since there's not so much bouncing around.
