Okay so I have this really cute holloween outfit but I really have slacked on my working out and eating and I cant seem to find the tool to tell me the safe amount of weight I can lose. I'm 5'5 and I weight somewhere around 190, I'm a muscular person and I plan to start working out everyday.

I would say that between 5-10 pounds could be safely lost by then if you eat reasonably well and exercise.  That is between 1-2 pounds per week.  The big thing to remember is that losing weight is about 80% diet, and 20% exercise.. so try to take in lots of vegetables/fruits, lean meats or other protein sources, whole wheat carbs, and some dairy for calcium to keep your bones strong. I would aim for approximately 1600 calories per day.

15+ lbs if you stay at 1200 cals and exercise at least 3xs a week.  you have to be DEDICATED tho!

ooooo onetwothreeme I like your response better lol, I HATE that weight loss is 80% eating and 20% exercise...but I'm gonna really try.

I ditched that crap after seeing the biggest loser for the first time. Research says.. 1.5 pounds a month is safe, and that to me is now a load of crap, because I've lost 3,7, and even 9 pounds within a month. Eating right, and working out daily with off days. But still, this weight is something that has to come off one way or the other. As long as you are not doing anything nutty, your weight is going to come off with your plan. They say 80% of your weight lost comes from diet. I say it's 50/50, and maybe it could be a 40/60. Who in the hell knows. We all have different bodies, and one research group can't prove how we are going to lose weight or what is right. We just have to lose it the right way. It can be done.
