just wondering if anyone knows any butt work-out/machines to use that will give me a perkier butt..
I have a small frame and pretty much no butt, just kind of flat and hangs there so i want to work it out to get it perked up! =)

Try doing leg sweeps. Stand tall and raise your leg out behind you so you feel your butt muscles contracting. Hold for a few seconds, then do 10-15 reps.
This is part of the bodyweight resistance training I do every day.

Squats! Stairmaster! those seem to be working for me so far...
squats and lunges! If they dont hurt after 3 reps ure not doing it right!! Also the bike works wonders on butts!
Runnig gives you a nice but. Squats are great too. I already have a big butt, but when I started running more it got bigger and firmer. It really works.
Pelvic thrusts are the best if done right. Instead of just lifting your butt, squeeze the muscles tight, hold and ease back down. Do 3 sets of 20 and you can feel the burn. And as you get better lift higher and hold tighter and you will feel your lower ab muscles as well, it's two in one.
A trainer at my gym told me it's the best, even compared to the machines and I can say that I personal I feel the difference.

running works for me. i also do a lot of squats and lunges. i do either or each time i work out.
is it possible to lift a flat butt?? lol
i think it is possible to build muscle in your bum will eventually cause it to lift. this is what happened to me. i have also had a nice butt when when i gained weight it spread out. then when lost weight is seemed to sag and all kind of fatty but still there. through runninng and lots of squats and lunges, i got a nice rounded, lifted, hard booty. i love it.
Any sport that incorporates side-to-side motions is great, such as rollerblading and ice skating. This is why hockey players and speed skaters have the best butts!! The glutes are the power center of the body - if you do sports that require quick, powerful spurts of energy (such as hockey, basketball, football or ballet) this also builds a nice shape.
The glutes are comprised of several muscles. Running can be good, but it's a constant forward motion so it only works the glutes in one direction. Lots of runners have scrawny, almost nonexistent butts. I'm no exception - my butt is disappearing on me. A scrawny butt can be okay I guess, but if what you want is more lift and definition and a more, um, well-rounded, curvy butt, then find a cross-training sport that incorporates side-to-side motions.
Squats and lunges are great, as are those exercise machines where you lie on your stomach and lift the weight upward with your lower leg.

I just bought a thing called a Power Tower. It basically a device called a Captain's Chair. They may have one at the gym. I tried putting on 20lbs worth of ankle weights and swinging my legs horizontally out. I was trying to work my abs but I had not yet read any instructions on how to properly use the macine. Soon after I had a sore butt. I later read that that exercise works your butt more than the abs so it might be something to try. Other than that I can feel some burn in my rear muscles while stair climbing.
Thanks so much for all the great tips!! i will definetly try them out!
