Hey guys, i'm lisa.
I dont know about you but my entire day depends on the first things i eat. If i have a good breakfast i'm off to a good start but if i have cookies or dohnuts at breakfast i just figure oh screw it, i'm already having a bad eating day and that gives me an excuse to pig out excessively all day
does anyone else have this problem or any solutions?
thanks
my trick is to not eat anything until i eat something healthy. it doesn't matter what it is, even just an apple or a banana, but if you eat well first thing you feel better and have more strengh to deny junk. keep telling yourself, "i'll eat a cookie if i want to after i've eaten a healthy meal and im full" for me, this always works and i can go without anything most of the time.
It was important for me to realize that it doesn't matter what the quality of the food is. Calories are Calories. Yes, a donut or cookie is unhealthy, but in reality, that one cookie or donut is only about 200-300 calories (depending on what exactly you eat of course.
Your day is not ruined because of this. Don't beat yourself up because of this. Just take it and build on it. Use the calorie count tool, log that cookie, and see that while it was a "huge" mistake in your opinion, in the course of a day, that cookie didn't do anything to you.
Having a "what the hell, I'll just give up now," attitude after one little set back is what got most of us in this overweight position in the first place. The first step toward creating and maintaining change is to change your mindset first. That takes practice.
Good luck, and remember: just because we trip, it doesn't mean we forgot how to walk!
hey, yeh i do that literally alll the time! if i decide its a bad day then i literally binge...i have taken to thinking of days as interconected. if i binge i undo all the good from the day before! hope that helps. mx
