Good, filling breakfast for 150-300 calories?

I'm tired of cereal. And oatmeal. And egg whites+toast. Anyone got any good ideas for a tasty, low-calorie breakfast?

0 fat vanilla yogurt w/cubed fresh fruit and cereal?  like a parfait?

or a smoothie?

sometimes I crave a toasted tuna sammie (mmmm) lotsa protein
I was considering a parfait.. would pineapple work? And what kind of cereal tastes best? bah.
I personally LOVE:

1/2 cup silhouette vanilla fat free yogurt
1 large banana, sliced
3 large strawberries, sliced
1/2 - 1 cup of special K

very filling.  the yogurt is like dessert!

I also like a homemade waffle with the yogurt to dip into!  kinda like a waffle cone :P
mmm. that last part about the waffle sounds delicious. haha! I can't wait for breakfast tomorrow.
\:D/ yay !  glad I could help

happy breakky dreams

Cut up an apple (chunks) microwave it for 2-3 minutes.
1/2 cup cottage cheese
cinnamon (to taste)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 pkt sweetner

Mix, refridgerate.  Wonderful apple-cheese "danish" awaits you in the AM.  ... about 180 cal, depending on type of cottage cheese and size of apple.  As Rachael Ray would say... "yummo"

... and I can't stand cottage cheese.

Think of the possiblities, pears, Torani syrups.....
Almond Roca, cottage cheese, pears

I know you're sick of cereal, but if you're still interested, try Kashi 'Good Friends' and toss in some strawberries and blueberries.  I have a bowl at 7am and don't feel hungry until 1pm....And, it's delicious.
Pineapple might be kind of acidic to mix with yogurt... kind of like mixing oranges and yogurt... but that's just my personal opinion...
I eat pineapple with nonfat plain yogurt all the time. It's yummy! I don't even bother to mix. I just ladle out 1 cup of yogurt, then slice a banana over it, then add some fresh pineapple. Or strawberries, or whatever I have on hand (this week it was blackberries).

You can also throw it all in a blender and make a smoothie. Works great with frozen berries & banana. I don't add in juice or anything else to my smoothies - just yogurt, banana, frozen berries...blend.

I'm the queen of quick and brain-dead easy in the morning; I don't like to fumble around with too many ingredients, pots or pans.

One idea is cheese toasties. Take a slice of whole wheat bread, put a slice of cheese on top of it, put it in the toaster oven, and toast until the cheese melts. Yum - and so easy!!! Add a side of fruit for a complete meal.

The other thing we do a lot here is eat hot whole grains - not just oatmeal, but quinoa, brown rice, etc. We have a programmable rice cooker that we can set up the night before so that it cooks right before we wake up. Add a glass of milk and some fruit and you have a simple, easy, quick breakfast. My DD's like to pour the milk into the rice and top with the fruit, but you don't have to.

Or just make toast with peanut butter.
Find some whole grain tortillas with plenty of fiber.  I like Tumaro's Soyful Heart - wheat soy and flax - 90 calories each.  Scramble one egg and roll it up in the tortilla to enjoy.  Add a piece of fruit & some yogurt, and you have a nice, balanced breakfast.

What you want at breakfast time is all the food groups - whole grains, veggies & fruits, dairy, protein and even a little bit of good fat.  It will keep you satisfied longer than a high carb meal.
You said that you were tired of egg whites, but you might try this breakfast. I just had it this morning and it was absolutely delicious, filling, and right at 300 calories.

Egg, White - 32

Bacon - 80

Black Beans - 70

Green Peppers - 2

Onions - 7

Mangos - 107

I never thought of eating brown rice for breakfast.. hmm, sounds like a good way to kick-start metabolism though.

and those apple danish-type things sound delicious.. and I can't stand cottage cheese either. haha

Don't worry about limiting your calories that much for breakfast, esp if trying to lose weight.  Reduce caloric intake over the course of you daily meals.

For Breakfast - Eat like a king

For Lunch - Eat like a prince

For Dinner - Eat like a pauper

Fage (the Greek yogurt) with some fruit and a packet of Splenda.  Less than 200 calories, and it has something like 15 grams of protein, which is why I prefer it to other low-cal yogurts.
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese 3 strawberries, pineapple ring cut up.  It's very yummy, easy and loaded in protein, calcium and vitamins.  All for around 170 calories (the cottage cheese is 90, so it depends how much fruit you mix in).
thomas's light english muffin (lots of fiber!) with a tablespoon of peanut butter and and piece of fruit! satisfying and yummy!
mgraf--haha! I've never heard that before but it sounds like a good ideal to live by.
gah I totally forgot about english muffins. gonna pick me up some of those. Maybe some Hebrew National beef franks for some more ideas..
I totally love Amy's Chicken Sausages. I just found a new type at Costco, pepper jack and jalapeno - and they're just 120 calories each. Throw one (I use half!) on a piece of toasted whole wheat bread (I use Miltons) add tomatoes - ah yeah that sounds so good to me right now -- cuz I blew it and just ate half a "nutrition" bar this a.m. :(

If that one is too spicy sounding there are plenty other types/combos of chicken sausages out there. And there's always Morningstar Breakfast Links or Breakfast patties (made of soy) - I've been eating those since I was a wee girl. LOL.
Brekkie is my favourite meal of the day and i barely have the same stuff twice in a row, or twice in a week (unless its real good)

I only have a microwave and toaster, so my brekkies are pretty simple.
Check out my blog, for some pictures and ideas. All are under 300 cals, tho often i have two parts to breakfast (like cheesecake porridge and yogurt and fruit, or a crumpet and porridge) so you can get one porridge recipe for about 200 cals.

My favs ATM are
French toast (just had it with berries, yogurt and honey for 300 cal)
Cheesecake porridge (loving this)
BAnana porridge (standard favourite)
Toasted apple sandwhich (on raisin toast, recipe tomorrow)
Microwaved poached egg on an english muffin with a slice of shaved ham and tomato (mmm mcmuffin)
i like a light english muffin with a slice of american cheese...
