here's the hard truth. if you are 120 and 5'10, weight gainers aren't going to help you. only food will. I would suggest taking a look at the stickied posts on the top of this forum and start working on increasing your daily calorie intake. your body needs to repair itself and food provides all the building blocks to do that.

weight gainers such as the one you are asking about, are meant for people who are not underweight, and it takes several BUCKETS of them and also in conjunction with a weight training program for them to work. So don't look for them as a magic bullet, and definetly don't listen to the sales person, please. I've been there and done that, with no results.

I agree with the above. Furthermore, gaining supplements can be all full of nasties and things that, as they accumulate, can affect your health (many contain high fructose corn syrup, as an example). If you want to gain weight start eating a diet of at least 3000 calories a day. For advice and food ideas and tips on how to do this, try reading: The Aim is to Gain: Advice on Weight Gain, Whatever Your Reason

This thread includes a menu of food and drink examples to make 3000 calories a day: A SAMPLE MEAL PLAN OF 3000 CALORIES - with ideas to take it up to 3500!

But honestly, weight gain supplements are usually a waste of money and time if you want to be building up weight and aren't following a particular bodybuilding regime like ak604 mentions and they won't provide vital nutrition your underweight body will need. Look to your food intake, not a powder.

a major thanks to the both of you, i have made my own meal plan for each day based on what is available at my college and i can get a daily intake of 3.400 calories per day of which i plan on doing till march  and hopefully get me to 140 pounds of which is normal weight for my height and age.

I used GNC PP Weight Gainer 2200 for a short period of time and I must say it really works, BUT it is PACKED with sugar which is bad news. I stopped taking it now and even then I couldn't take 3 scoops a day. I took one and that was it. well, they called it "scoop", they were more like a "shovel"...I must admit though, that it tasted pretty good compared to the rest of weight gainers.

But I realised, I didn't need 2200 cal extra to go over 3000 cal/day.

With any type of supplements, you need to workout hard, and AND drink lots and lots and again LOTS of water. If you ask me, stick to your high calorie diet and workouts and you'll be just fine.

Are you a male or a female?

If you ask me, try to eat alot, like 6 meals a day with lots of protein and carbs and enough fats (2:2:1 ratio in my opinion).

Eat high calorie food always. If you eat >3000 calories a day, you'll gain weight quickly. Try weight training too, and try to stay away from cardio workouts as much as you can.

If you still want help with the calories, then give this product a try. Remember to drink more than 8 glasses of water EVERYDAY....and don't overdo it. Try one serving a day as this product is packed with sugar.

Hope this help
