After breaking two cheap pair of earbuds in as many days, I decided to purchase a set of good, sturdy headphones for my Mp3 player.  Unfortunately, both pairs I've tried so far have sucked.  Suckity, suck, suck, suck!  Both were Phillips brand, and one was a pair that hooked around the ears.  Main complaint: they won't stay in my ears.  They keep falling out (particularly while I'm jumping rope).  It's really, really annoying.  So, does anyone have a recommendation for a good set of Mp3 player headphones?  I'm getting a little desperate here.  My gym has a strange tendency to play easy listening, adult alternative, top 40 crap.  I need my GNR.

I can't do earbuds - I swear they never fit my ears! I have a pair of Sony headphones, and they're the clip on kind, and i love them! Here's a link!

good ones should cost around 60-100$, check their materials and make sure they fit to your ears.

the less outside noise you hear - the better the headphones.
Thanks anishak.  Are those style comfortable?  I've seen them before and thought they might be a little heavy or something.
HA HA.  While training for the marathon last year, I managed to break 4 pairs of headphones - needless to say I don't buy expensive ones for working out anymore.  I know have a pair of cheap ones (like $10) that I found at the gym - haven't broken in 6 mos and the sound is good - go figure.

have you heard of griffin earjams?  they're genius little attachments for earbuds that make them stick in your ears.  i swear these things (and a mic-clip to keep the headphone cord from bouncing all over the place) made me fall in love with my nano all over again and i didn't even need to upgrade the ipod stock earphones.

I use the iPod lanyard ones I think they are called;  they clip into the bottom of the iPod and it hangs upside down and around your neck. Sounds kinda weird; but I like them.
I seem to have a problem with the in-the-ear kind, and am now using the Sennheiser PMX70 Sport. Apart from the color, they are bright green, I really like them: light-weight and good sound. Not cheap (not here in Asia anyway), but worth it IMHO. A link is here: http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/productd etail.asp?transid=500504
I feel your pain.  My damn ear buds always start falling out at the intense portions of my workout.  Never fails.

I have yet to find a pair that I like, but I'm going to look into some of these suggestions, so thanks for bringing up the topic.

I too need my GNR.
Your earbuds weren't breaking--they were committing suicide so that they wouldn't have to transmit GNR anymore.

You want hard, high-tempo stuff for your workouts? You need Shirley Manson (Garbage).
Thanks for all the suggestions guys; I really appreciate it.  I think I'll try those Sony headphones since I think I remember seeing them at the Best Buy the other day after my third attempt to find decent headphones.

Oh, and behanna, you blaspheme! :-)  No matter how hipster you are, everyone should love a little GNR (not to mention AC/DC, Led Zepplin, Jimmy Hendrix, and the Drive-By Truckers).
"hipster" doesn't parse when applied to me.

"GNR" and "music" don't belong in the same sentence.

An interval workout on the trainer and Garbage's /Bleed Like Me/ album go well together.

the best thing EVER!!!

I have one ear that would always fall out - actualy both would, but these works so great.  Takes 10 minutes to mold and then WHOLA!

Search ebay for a better price than the website itself!
