Is this a good idea to check if you're bloated or not.

Before I weigh myself, I put my hands around my stomach to check if I'm bloated or not that way when I get on the scale I won't freak out.

Is this an accurate way of seeing if you're bloated or not?

Like today.

 I weighed 160.5

On monday I weighed 158.5

I weighed in the morning.

The only difference was that yesterday night I had two bags of 100 calorie popcorn and two pickles.

Not to mention pasta salad which had 34% of my daily sodium intake.

Oh and diet rootbeer.

Now before I weighed myself I went to the bathroom first.

And no, it was not just a number 1 if you know what I mean.

Also I didn't have any water yesterday.I know,bad idea. But I did have a lot of fruit. Such as grapefruit and a large wawa fruit cup. So could I still be bloated from yesterday night. I checked my stomach and noticed that I looked pretty bloated.

Gaining two pounds in three days seems a bit much, especially when I'm in my calorie range. Give er take a few cals, but that would probably be from the MD's salad or something else. The only thing I didn't weigh.

 

oh,btw,I'm 18 and stand 6'3.

Than, yes, that's likely the reason.

Your body will fluctuate 2-5 lbs DAILY, regardless of what you do, 2 pounds really is nothing.  Eating an extra 100 calories in a day is not going to make you gain weight THAT day either, results aren't instantaneous.

 

Not drinking water will only make you more bloated. Also, pickles are really high in sodium and if the popcorn was salted, that could do some damage as well. Sodas bloat you up too. Try to eat some asparagus and dandelion greens, drink some peppermint tea and lots of water. Wait a few days and your weight should return to normal.

You deff are carrying water weight. That 100 cal popcorn probably was filled with sodium plus those pickles are deff to blame. If you didnt drink water what else did you drink? If you drink enough water you shouldnt be too bloated daily. Also to get rid of your water weight work out and sweat alot. But dont forget to keep drinking water otherwise you will just become bloated again and dehyrated.
