Good Low Cal Dessert
This is pretty simple, and some may have already figured it out!
1 cup sliced frozen peaches
2 packets splenda
cinnamon
2-3 tablespoons fat free whipped topping
1. Microwave peaches for 2 minutes on high to thaw.
2. Mix in splenda, top with whipped topping and sprinkle with cinnamon.
3. Microwave again for 30 seconds.
Thats it! I made it tonight and was very good, quick and easy! Thought I would share! You can also mix in blueberries or blackberries and top with a crumbled soft oatmeal cookie, if you have extra cals to spare, and microwave til warm!
This DOES sound good and EASY, Allison. Thanks for sharing. Just one question, though. You microwave for 30 seconds AFTER you put the whipped topping on? Just wanted to make sure that was right. Thanks much.
Yes! I should have explained. I use fat free cool whip and keep it in the freezer, so its pretty stiff when I pull it out and use it. I just microwave it for 30 seconds to warm it up a little more and melt the topping a little bit. I suppose if you use the whipped cream from the can, you can skip the last step, but i would microwave the peaches a little longer in the first step to make sure they are nice and warm!
Thanks, again, Allison. A package of frozen peaches, cinnamon and fat-free Cool Whip is going on my grocery list. I haven't tallied the calories, but I'm sure it's not much at all. Can't wait to try it!! Thanks for getting back to me!!
No problem! 1 cup of peaches is 50 calories, cool whip is 15-20 calories per 2 tablespoons depending on what brand you buy, and of course, cinnamon and splenda are 0 calories!
Yummmmm, Allison. Just tried this for the first time. What a treat!!! And, very low calorie. No guilt. Going to tell my friends about this. This is going to be a regular for me. Thanks so much for posting this.
Hi, Allison. Since you were kind enough to share that recipe, which, by the way, I've now enjoyed THREE times, thought I might pass this on to you.
Mix two tablespoons of thawed Cool Whip with one teaspoon of peanut butter. Use one packet (1.3 oz) of the TEDDY GRAHAMS Chocolate Graham Snacks as dippers. Total is 220 calories. It would be less if Cool Whip Lite were used, instead. Also, cinammon graham crackers could be substituted. Haven't tried it, yet, but am going to today. Enjoy!!
Thanks! That sounds delicious! Chocolate and peanut butter are my absolute favorite combo and I had sorta given up on the thought of ever having it again because pb is so high in calories, and who can really eat just one teaspoon?! But that is a great idea mixing cool whip and peanut butter! I like the idea of making it go further with less calories and keeping the peanut butter taste.
Hi, Allison! Since I left you the post this morning, I actually tried it. YUMMMMMY!!!!! Honestly, really good. I forgot to pick up the Teddy Grahams when I was at Walmart this AM, but saw the 100 cal packs of the Oreo Crisps as I was going through the check out counter, and they work great!!!! I just made the single recipe and, I hate to confess, I scraped my finger around the bowl to make sure I got every bit.
(blushing) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Too bad I'm allergic to peaches or I'd try it! sounds very good!

Bummer! What if you tried using berries instead? And, hey, I discovered a yummy recipe in my weekly Kraft Foods email. Mix 2 tablespoons of Cool Whip and 1 teaspoon of peanut butter. Dip with one 1.3 oz packet of Teddy Bear grahams. I didn't have those so I used a 100-calorie packet of the Oreo Crisps. If you like peanut butter, it's really good.
Mmmm! That peanut butter mixture is sooo good! I layered a low fat graham cracker, the peanut butter mixture and a drizzle of chocolate sauce...tastes just like peanut butter pie! So delicious!
Oh, I'm so happy you enjoyed it, Allison. And, hey, you came up with another way of eating it. I'll have to try that. I made some and took it to my mom (84 years young), who, after her recent surgeries, hasn't had much of an appetite, and she really enjoyed it, too. ![]()
Yummers! Thanks for sharing this idea!!! I can't wait to try it out tonight!
Both are really delicious, stefiann. I think you'll really like them. And, they're so easy to make!
