Good morning,

I'm new to CC. I have tried so many things and am very excited to find a free online community and service to help me count my calories and stay on track. I really need motivation at times. I have struggled with my weight since I was a child. Here are my stats:

Age- 21

Height- 5'8"

Weight- 193

Goal Weight- 150 

I classified myself as leading a Lightly active life though I am trying to bump that up to Moderately active life style. I am planning to begin a training course for beginning runners. My dream is to one day run a Marathon. CC set my calorie intake at 1550. I am trying to keep it around 1300-1400 though and save those extra calories for "slip-ups" 

So, anyone interested in being an accountability type partner/encourager with me?

Hey, Laura. I will be your weight loss buddy. You can never have too many weight loss or workout buddies. I just recently started back to CC.  I am currently as of this morning 205. my short term goal is to get to 180lbs by July30. that's a five pound weight loss per month. i know you probably thinking that ain't much a month, but I've learned that you keep off the weight by loosing it slow. I recently last summer had lost 27lbs. but i gained it back by making one big mistake i stopped exercising and started back eating junk and fast-food everyday. So this time around i vowed to not to make the same mistakes last time again. we can still,in my opinon eat the foods we love but only in moderation and portion control. Like last night i had some ice cream, but that was my reward because i did 45mins on the treadmill and burned 325 cals..so i treated my self to "only" a half-cup of ice cream.  we can do this. this morning i even had a apple for breakfast and it's the weekend..lol..

Looking for any other "buddies"?

my current stats are:

Age:  38 (turning 39 in July)

Height:  5'4.5"

Weight:  190 pounds

I go ont he treadmill 3-4 times per day for at least 25 minutes each time.  I am trying to consume no more than 1200 calories per day before excercise.

For the first time in my life I have hope that I don't always have to be this way. I have just been reading so many of your amazing stories. . . some who have needed to lose more than me. I can do it! I know I can. i am determined that by the time I turn 23 (a year and 1 month away) I am going to have the body I have always wanted!

I just finished my first week doing CC, and I've lost 4 lbs! I don't know if I'm just lucky or if it is because I'm dieting, but it's going pretty well! I finally feel like I am motivated and determined to get in shape! Good luck! message me if you need some encouragement!

Hey Laura-I've been trying to message you back but for some reason it won't let me!  It says I'm only allowed 2 messages/day...but I haven't sent any, c'est la vie.

Anyways, I've been eating between 1,400 to 2,000 calories/day, I'm cycling the calories-which is working out really great.  I find it tough to eat the same amount of calories every single day...and so far it's been working out great!

I weigh in on Monday too-so I'll update tomorrow.

 I started "eating better" in June 2007

(207lbs)

I started exercising probably in August, but had an ACL injury so could not exercise from Sep-end of November)

Current weight 149
Goal weight 137

 I have not exercised in weeks and have not been watching my diet at all, so here we go again!! Too bad some of us dont live near each other, then we could make each other go to the gym.

helloooo... I'm ALSO 21.  I weigh abo0ut 180 and i'm 5'3".  I'm in college and it's hard to work around my social life, my school work and my job, but I'd really like to lose this weight before I start my rotations.  (I want a new lab coat because mine is so huge and it's shaped liek a man's, haha ;-p)

I hope you can afford another weight loss buddy?

Good morning everyone!! 

Well, I had my weigh in this morning and I have dropped a 1/2 pound since friday. (It's Monday at the time of this post) that was after dropping a 2.5 pounds since i started this counting calorie thing . .  I think it was 5 days ago. so basically 3 pounds in a week? wow. . . maybe it's a little too quickly. . . I don't know. I have been exercising more and I still have my activity level set at "light activity." I was hoping to average 2-2.5 pounds a week. . . maybe my body is just getting a jump start 'cause it's READY to be thin!!  

Well, any way I'm excited!! I can do it tis time!

 

Can't wait to read everyone's updates!

I'm definitely ready to do it this time.  Sometiems I get a little afraid, like it's too much, but I feel like this time, I'm for real.  I hope my goals aren't too, too amibitious!  best of luck miladies!

dropped 21 pounds in 2 months from 223

to 201

 running 3-5 miles a day on treadmill

lifting weights for an additional 45-60 minutes

eating less than 1600 calories mainly protein.... very very little carbs

 

 

Well, I've dropped .6 lb since last Monday-at least it's something!  But I'll definitely be working harder to loose more for next weigh-in!
that's something and something is better than nothing. .. . we're gonna do it! 
I notice today that I have lost some inches. I tried on some clothes that i purposely bought a couple of months ago a size too small and they fit. A month ago i couldn't even button them up. today i button them up and i could actually breathe...lol..So i will post my weigh-in Friday. Keep up the work.

I'm also a 21 year old chick! I am looking for someone to help motivate me to keep going strong! I am 5'6" and currently about 142, goal weight of 130 (but really 120!) I've been running and lifting weights without seeing big results. But I will be your buddy!!

 Those are pretty much my stats--I'll be 21 next month (yay!), 5'8", weigh 180 and my goal weight is 145.  I just joined too, and have been trying to do the whole running thing, although it's tricky in cold, snowy Boston.  I'm game to join wit you--Good luck!

Mommashay, Good for you!! the scales don't always tell you everything.. . how your clothes fit say a lot.

 

I weighed today and. . . . I was shocked. 2 lb.'s gone. . . . I am now 187. I thought I overdid it yesterday and was afraid to weigh. . but anyway.  6 lbs lost so far .
