I haven't been to a movie in theaters since last Christmas, no joke. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I really could care less about the genre, although I know I don't want to see Transformers (did not like the first one much; just not a fan) or My Sister's Keeper (read the book, not really interested).

I'm looking forward to Julia and Juila. I typically hate "chick-flicks", but I couldn't afford to miss a cooking movie, little chef that I am. Hahah. Most of the time I prefer horror, drama, or action... and lots of it.

I loved the movies: THE PROPOSAL & THE HANG OVER - I was impressed because lately movies are just plain terrible - but those two were GREAT! I laughed so hard in both!

This Friday THE UGLY TRUTH comes out which looks cute - my type of movie - I'm going to go see it, if you don't see it before me, I'll let you know how it is!

Meh, "date movies" aren't such my thing either. Totally the oppisote. I'd probobly never go see Hangover, and not just because it's rated R. I will pretty much see something regardless of rating if it's something I want to see.

I'm going to see Bruno tomorrow morning and am anticipating that it will be BRILLIANT.

Have you seen Borat? I'm guessing it's like something along those lines. Watch out, I hear it's pretty umm... naked. Hahah.

Yes, Borat is one of my favorites actually :)  I am totally excited, especially for the nudity.  Not because I'm gross or anything, I just think male nudity is pretty great in movies because Hollywood often flaunts around all of those naked women EVERYWHERE and it's just kind of gross in my opinion.  I think if there is going to be so many boobs thrown around in almost every movie nowadays, there should be just as much penis.  They should just have penises flying across the screen or something.

Yeaaahhh... Bruno's not on my "to see" list.

I want to see Public Enemies. Has anyone seen/heard if it's good?

I just saw a movie called "Hurt Locker".  It was only in one or two theatres here, and I live in a big city, so it might not be in theatres everywhere.  Anyway, it was out of this world good.  Its a war movie, but it doesn't have the kind of message you're expecting.  I highly recommend it.

August 21, 2009.

Inglorious Bastards.

Easily going to be the most epic movie of the summer.

Food Inc?

The Hangover.

Angels and Demons

I saw Public Enemies and I loved it.  But then again I'm a huge fan of Johnny Depp.  I think he can make any movie good.

Transformers 2 is ridiculous. I saw it because it was half price movie day and my friends wanted to go. CGI = my brain hurting. At one point, all the Autobots merge together...I think. I couldn't tell. It's a decent movie if you have nothing to do for two and half hours.

Bruno is excellent though.

Has anyone seen the new Harry Potter? : D

I loved the new Harry Potter, it was my favorite one so far. I can see though how it would be confusing if you havn't read the books, so I'd recommend having done that first. Also, if you havn't seen Up yet, I would HIGHLY recommend that. I usually don't have much patience for kids movies, but i freakin love Pixar.

Yes, go see Up!  It's not even a kid's movie.. I saw it and was deeply touched, and the theater was filled with adults without children! haha.  One of the best movies I've seen, and undoubtedly the best movie of the year.

 It was the Deceptions :)

I saw Harry Potter on Friday. It was more character driven than previous movies (ie: less action). I haven't read the books but I have seen the other movies so I'd recommend at least doing that. As a non-fan of the series, I'd give it a B+... it was fine but I don't need to see it again.

I'd love to see Food Inc but it only opened in limited release. Julie & Julia looks fun but I doubt anyone will want to see it with me! haha.

I just saw Bruno- it was very funny, not as good as Borat, but I'm kind of in love with Sacha Baron Cohen..

Go see the Hangover, but be sure you pee before going into the theater.  If you don't you may wet your pants.

Seriously, I am not generally a fan of most comedy (usually find it stupid), but this movie was hilarious!

I have not seen Public Enemies yet but my sister saw it and LOVED it. I would go and see that if you are looking for an action movie.

I am a HUGE fan of Pixar films so I definitely recommend the movie Up. It was so sweet and funny. I actually went to see again (with different people) because I liked it so much. It's not my favorite Pixar movie but so good nonetheless!
