how to get good overall weights workout with just bench press?

I have a bench press and a couple of small bar bells at home and have fairly toned arms as a result. But how can I use these to work on other parts of my body - legs, etc. (while at home with limited equipment)?

try using the barbell to do bicep curls (bench pressing doesnt work or biceps) and some bent over barbell rows

to work your legs you can hold the barbell above your head or rest it on yuor upper back and do some squats and some lunges. for your calves you can just do calf raises with or without weights.

those are great suggestions. you didn't mention if your toned arms includes back but you can do bent over rows with the barbell, that's one of my favorite back exercises.

very helpful... I have been doing some barbell curls for my biceps as well as presses but that's all. Will try out your ideas.

You have a bench and a barbell? Are you doing bench presses?

 

Squats are already mentioned.

Deadlifts

Rows bent over.

Military presses

You've got plenty of equipment. The only issue is safety if you're working alone.  

You can do step ups on your bench.  Great butt burner!
