thanks for the replys
In a regular BMR calculator it says you should eat 1365 calories a day, however, this means that at rest you'd burn that much a day, so you'd have to take in account for exercise. Personally, I prefer a BMR calculator for ages 4-21 since I'm 17, and regular BMR calculators don't always take into consideration that we're still growing. I would suggest this calculator:
http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/HealthyEating_calcula tor.htm
it says you should eat 2000 calories a day if you exercise for less than one hour a day, there are also other options for more than an hour, etc. Now, if you still want a deficit, you could subtract 500, so you'd need 1,500 calories on a day you'd exercise for less than one hour.
1300 calories a day would be okay if you were sedentary, but since you're not, it wouldn't be a good choice on days when you exercise.
p.s. How's 30 day shred going? I'm doing it also, but only on day nine. How hard is level two? and have you seen any results yet?
ok thanks!
the shred is going good. level two was quite hard the first time i've done it but i can definetally tell that im getting better at it. and i have lost some inches from my body but im not sure if its all from the shred. i have been exercising extra though.
no problem!
I'm trying to alternate the shred with no trouble zones and banish fat boost metabolism.
But oh boy, is BFBM ever hard, the first time I did it, I had a lot of difficulties but made it through it. Today I was only on circuit three and had to stop, it's a LOT harder than 30 day shred, well, harder than level one anyways.
At 16, you should not eat less than 1500, and that's only if you are sedentary.
