what are good protein snacks for vegetarians?
Sometimes I need a 100-150 cals snack that is mostly protein but I don't know what would be a good choice.
anyone has ideas?
I snack on bananas, apples, nuts but I am looking for something that is not mostly carbs.

bake apples in the oven (cut them up, put some cinniman and splenda on them and lemon juice to keep them good) bake at 350 for about an hour than put them in your fridge over night. in the morning take cottage cheese (sounds gross but delicious!) and mix it with the baked apples and its high protein low cal great snack!
also try peanut butter on your fruit

Edamame
Egg whites or a hard boiled egg
yogurt
cottage cheese
1 oz of cheese
1 oz of nuts
1 cup soy/cow milk
etc...
String cheese! This stuff is amazingly tasty. They are around 7g protein each, and can range from 50-100 calories, so you can eat one or two depending on what you need.
And definitely go for yogurt. Good protein, calcium, and bacteria for the gut!
I second the yogurt recommendation. I like to get Greek yogurt (Fage 0%), because I prefer the thicker texture and tangier taste to that of the normal yogurt sold in the US. It's got about 15 g protein per 6-oz serving, and is delicious mixed with a little pectin-free fruit preserves or honey.
My current afternoon snack obsession is an organic rice cake topped with a tablespoon of crunchy natural peanut butter. It's about 170 calories, and keeps me full for hours!
Primal strips fake jerky. Delicious and 10 grams of protein for 100 calories or less. Nomnomnom!
