Looking for creative/yummy raw food recipies..
I read on another forum that you can make a pretty tasty dessert by mashing an avocado with some unsweetened cocoa powder and sugar/agave nectar, it comes out into a sort of puddingy consistency. I've yet to try it myself though!
I did have a wonderful experiement result the other night though. Freeze a chopped banana, then whiz it up in a blender and it comes out the consistency of soft-serve icecream - it is truly quite amazing. It looks and tastes like banana ice cream, but fruit is its only ingredient! It has changed my life :D I bet you could experiment by adding spices like cinnamon to it before blending, or adding some blueberries or nut butters on top before eating.
I make a smoothie for breakfast sometimes but it comes out so thick that i eat in in a bowl with a spoon like soup for breakfast! I blend fruit with oats, seeds, nut butter and a little liquid (fruit juice/soy milk - is that classed as raw though??) It keeps me full for a good while.
You can make your own 'bars' by blending up dried fruit e.g. dates, prunes, raisens etc. with oats, nut butter and a little liquid (fruit juice, splash of water etc.) and press it all down into a baking tray and refrigerate, then cut into bars.
To jazz up salads and veggies i sometimes make a sauce out of blending up an avocado with varying combinations of spices/pepper/tiny bit of garlic/herbs/lemon juice etc, loosen it with some cold pressed olive oil or some water, or something juicey like a tomato, then pour it over your veggies.
