Hi everyone!
I have been loosing weight day to day sometimes i loose 2-3 ilbs a day but then when I weigh myself the next day i go up a pound? Its so confusing! I know ur weight can shift and I am one of those girls who have to way themselves everyday. It keeps me on track so if i go up i know i need to watch whatever it is that i am eating or if i did not excersie enough that day. I'm 5"7 and my starting weight was 266 ilbs and now I'm 243 ilbs. (23Ilbs loss) I am trying to get to 230 by the end of this month 4/28/07.Thats at least 4-5 ibs a week. I don't want to push my body and then i crash and not loose weight for a couple of weeks......... (I am going to a concert with my girls and want to fit into my good jeans) I have heard it is unhealthy for you to loose more than 3lbs a week but to me i think thats not enough I can feel a change in my body but I want to see RESULTS!!! Is it just me or is there anybody out there that wants to loose more fast??? The problem with me is that i push myself to hard for to long and then i crash and binge and gain. Its a hard cycle to break...Any pointers????? or fast weight loss tips???

a healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs a week. The best way to have sustained weight loss results is to eat at your allowance calorie-wise and exercise.
1-2 lbs a week is what is recommended for healthy weight loss. Perhaps you should try not weighing yourself daily. The body has natural fluctuations from day to day, that's normal. A weekly weigh in can tell you how you are doing overall. Weighing in at different times of day also makes a difference. Most people at are their lightest first thing in the morning, and heaviest in the evening. It's normal for your evening weight one night to be lbs heavier than your morning weight the next day. If you must weigh yourself every day, weigh yourself once, and do it the same time of day each day. That will keep you from being confused by the body's normal daily fluctuations.
um i could've sworn the word was losing, not "loosing." ??
queenbee, one thing you need to consider is your body's ability to get rid of the fat -- it's not just a matter of losing fat -- it's disposing of all those miles and miles of capillaries that feed the fat, and all the skin that covers it.
In addition, by cutting your calories back so much, you are denying yourself precious nutrition. Unhealthy bodies need good nutrition in order to get themselves healthy again. Calories don't just supply energy -- though that is very important -- they also supply protein, vitamins, minerals, and a host of other micronutrients all very important to transform an unhealthy body into a healthy body.
