According to the BMI index - a "healthy weight" is from 120-145lbs.
However, depending on your muscle mass, and fat percent, this could be
way off. (I have a roommate who is two sizes smaller than me, and
weighs 5lbs more than me - because she is an athlete with way more
muscle mass than me.) Hope this helps you out a bit!

I agree for ladybug..My daughter is 5' 4" and I try to keep her weight at 125..I try not to let her get more than 5lb either side of it..I'd say 135 would be a good goal for a medium biuld 5'5"..
I am 5'5". I was very comfortable at 135 pounds, which is now my goal weight. I was once at 122 pounds, but for me that was a little too thin for me. At 135, I had some nice curves. I'm hoping to get there again, sometime this fall. I'm halfway there at 178 pounds. As Ladybug said above, it all depends on your body build and your activity level, etc.
Oh ok cuz right now im at 114 at 5'5 and i felt so uncomfortable at 124. I guess it all depends on what you prefer for your self but im trying to get down to 110 now. I'm kinda going through this thing when i see a super skinny girl who is like 3 inches taller than me, i feel like so fat and wish i looked like that certain girl. Ill feel like im really thin for a lil bit and then ill be at the mall or something and see a girl who is like tall and super thin and feel fat! I hate it. . .maybe one day ill get over it.
I'm pretty sure you're actually underweight right now. That might look right to you, but it might not be good for your body. If your weight is taking over your life in a negative way, stop and think: would you rather be unhealthily thin and obsessing over everything you eat, or be thin and healthy and feeling good?
If you really are nervous about how you look, try exercises to tone your body, but make sure to keep eating. Food definitely isn't bad.

Oh no i definatly eat! What im doing isnt unhealthy at all. . .i mean i eat pretty much whatever but make sure that i work out afterwards. Im definatley healthy! I eat alot of protein and get all the nutrients that i need. I have just cut out pop and like really high saturated fats. I excersice all the time and i am toned, so most of my weight is muscle. To me it doesnt seem like im underweight, i may be but if i am im still healthy and getting enough food.
Okay, good :) You're probably fine then!
iskate1191 becareful not to lsoe too much. I have the same problem I look at other girls and think I wish I could be as skinny as them, and that I feel so much bigger, because they are tall than me in most cases, except that in reality they really aren't. For me it's always been hard to know what I actually looked like.
Just don't like your perceptions get too skewed. I was 100 pounds for awhile and even then I never had a good idea of what size I was, until I look at pictures now, and see how small I was. Back then I felt like most girls were skinnier than me, when of course they wouldn't.
I'm sure you are fine and since you know your body best, if you feel healthy than you probably are, but just be careful, because I know what it's like too get alittle too skewed in our ideas of self.

iskate.. how MUCH do you eat.. i know i've seen you post that you eat 700 calories a day and you don't need me telling you that that's not enought do you? and i agree with other people here.. your weight seems under what you should be..
Wow, 110 for someone 5'5 seems really thin! I know everyone is different, but that DOES seem like it would be underweight for you! And truly if you are only eating 700 calories a day, I think your pushing it. Not trying to be critical, but we need you to stay healthy!!!
wow! how did u lose all that weight?!
any tips or advice plllllease?

OK One thing I feel you need to know, is that alot of "super skinny" people are realy NOT happy about it and would kill to have hips and breasts..My poor sister is 36 years old 4 kids and stands at 5 feet even..she weighs in at 86lbs. She eats like a pig most of the time to..lol..This is her weight and she struggles to maintain it. (She has dropped to 76lbs before). Its causes her ALOT of self esteem issues and health problems..So some people are naturally thin...(my 5' mum only weighs 96 lbs)..Mu sister gets so fed up with people assuming she has an eating disorder..yes..there are a few but alot of people are naturally overweight and some are naturally underweight...its no pic-nic being either...
