Good zig-zag range?

Quote  |  Reply

Hi all!

I am STILL stuck in a plateau... the scale has not budged from 135 in awhile now even though I am still sticking to the diet and exercising.  I have decided to try zig-zagging and from reading some posts on here found a website with a tool to find your range.  Problem is, I put in my numbers and for "extreme" weight loss it told me I should stick between 1080 and 1215  and for average weight loss to stay between 1350 and 1620.  This seems really low considering that I do cardio several times each week and walk quite a bit throughout the day just going from point A to point B.  I want to break through my plateau and get down to my goal weight, but have been on CC for long enough to know that I would be crazy to only eat 1080 calories a day!

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I haven't tried zig-zagging, but I would try and stick between a 250 and 750 calorie defecit, to average about 1lb a week.  So if you burn about 2100 calories a day, the 1350 would be the lowest you'd want to go.  I'd say you could probably even go as high as 1850.  It really depends on how many calories you burn.
