Gorgeously Green

Quote  |  Reply

I have just started reading the book, Gorgeously Green by Sophie Uliano and it is opening my eyes. I am not a nature freak or a new age hippie or anything extreme but the chapter about beauty products has really opened my eyes. It talks about all the proven neurotoxins and carcinogens that are in our every day products. I literally only had one product in my bathroom that didn't have a "Red Alert" chemical in it. I am curious if anyone else has read this book and what they think of it. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

I have not read the book since from what I understand alot of what's in there can be found for free on the internet and some of the "green" and "organic" products she recommends are full of potentially toxic substances such as synthetic preservatives and fragrances.

But i can say that I am very cautious about what products I use and what's in them (seriously it's really scary once you know what things are and then you read what's in some of the the products you use. Yikes.), which has done alot for my skin and hair in the last year.
