??? Grades for food

Quote  |  Reply

I just started the program and I had a few shaky days in regards to intake where my fat intake for the day is over the daily recommended allowance. How am I still getting a B grade when I've eaten too much fat?

I think it can depend on the individual items you're eating rather than the overall stats for fat/protein/carbs.  I've eaten heaps of food:  way too many calories, high fat percentages, and still got a B if I ate lots of fruit and veg.  I don't think I've ever gotten a C, but then I suppose if I was having a really bad day foodwise, I wouldn't bother logging anyway.

Shoot for an A!

The food grade is not a judgement of how well you are doing.  It is simply a program that calculates the grades of all the foods and amounts you've logged, then averages them to come up with an overall nutritional grade.

So a fat with a low grade might be trumped if you ate a larger amount of an A food.

I hope that clears it up. Remember that the grade is merely a guide, not a rule.  It can help you make wiser choices if you want.
