I ate 284 today and it was 57% of my calories. You sound fine. What percentage of your calories was from carbs?
I have no idea but i think it's a lot more than 50 percent, lol. I know i basically live off carbs. My main sources of nutrients are yogurt, oatmeal, fruits, bread, beans, veggies, and tofu. I have a significant amount of fruit and bread though--golly i have a LOT of carbs in a day. lol.
Around 100. Yes...so low, but otherwise I feel like CRAP...I love my meat, alright!
lysistrata
my carbs make up 54% of my cals... I think I will try to do 50% or less from now on lol.. though I don't know how successful I'd be.. I love carbs : )

I personally consume a ratio of 40/40/20% protein/carbs/fat.
It's so easy to eat significantly more carbs than protein, but I just have to watch it and make sure that I am getting enough protein with each meal. Try to balance your meals so that each meal contains roughly the same ratio% of protein, carbs, and healthy fats as the rest of your meals. For example, if you eat 50/30/20% protein/carbs/fat, then try to make every meal 50/30/20%. That should help you to keep your protein and healthy fat consumption up and moderate carb consumption, rather than eating a bunch of carbs earlier in the day and then trying to eat a bunch of protein later in the day to make up the difference.

I eat 60% of my calories from carbs, and I eat mostly complex carbs and limit my simple carbs. I like a 60/20/20 ratio, and it's really helped with my weight loss. Since Jan 14th, I've lost 30 lbs.
Usually 200. Sometimes over, sometimes under.
i used to eat barely any meat, and mosly carbs. i just started the atkins diet. im getting a lot of negative feedback from close friends, but i no its effective, and quick. im trying to lose a few pounds to fit into a dress... ill keep you updated on my progress
I usually have nearly 300g, though today was only 200g, though on wednesdays (I have rock climbing) I normally eat 350+. A lot of people tell me it's way too much, but I love my carbs, and they all come from good things-whole grains, fruits, veggies, beans, etc- so I don't worry (and I do get enough protein and fat)
Yes, I definitely believe there are good carbs and bad carbs.
i eat over 300 grams of carbs daily, about 65% of my calories....if i have fewer, i am sluggish and don't feel right.
i think you have to identfity personally what YOUR body needs and how many carbs you can eat to feel good.
good luck!

Today was 271 gms of carbs (57.9 %) and it usually similar to that. I am a vegetarian so protein tends to be around 13- 15 % which I have been told is the low end of a healthy intake so no problems there. I am quite active and feel better if I have plenty of carbs- I try to make as many of them complex as possible.
Of course there are good carbs and bad carbs- I can't believe so many people think all carbs are bad- there is a huge difference between a bowl of brown rice and a chocolate bar.

I don't keep track of how many grams, but at least 50% to 60% of my calories are from carbs. I limit refined carbs and try to have only complex carbs like whole grains and fruits.
I just count the calories.
I was curious, so I went to analysis and checked a few days. Typically, I eat around 300 grams of carbs a day, mostly from complex carbs. You might be better off asking folks how much of a percentage they eat, as the grams will differ greatly depending on how many calories they eat a day. I get about 60% of my calories from carbs, for example.
My % of carbs is usually 55 - 60% of total cal intake. I eat whole grains fruit and veggies. I also consume at least 40 grams of fiber a day. I have colon issues and need to keep my fiber intake up there and carbs are the only way to do it. Fiber supplements don't work I have to do it by foods only.
