28 Grams-1 OZ of nuts Question.

So how in the World would I know how much exacty is 28 Grams of Nuts without a food scale?  I Need to kNow EXACTLY 100%.

buy a food scale.  each nut weighs a different amount.  there is absolutely no way on earth to tell you an answer that is exact without a scale.

Why EXACTLY 100%?????  LOL!  You sound like it's life or death.  Calm down dear.  It's about 20 shelled almonds.  30 peanuts. 14 walnut halves. 

Buy a scale... it's a lot less stress.

Ha.  Well I just wanted to be Precise.  I dont want to eat accidently 100 nuts.

You could try measuring your food. An ounce is about 1/4 cup, which is about 200 for nuts.

yeah, be careful with that, though.  when you change from weight to volume (or vice versa), you run the risk of going very wrong.

thebledx, the other thing you can do (with nuts or whatever) is check the weight of the whole package and then compare that to volume.  if you buy in bulk, the weight will be on your receipt.  figure out how many servings are in the whole bag, then count or measure by volume what makes up one serving.

I bought a small mechanical scale at Bed Bath & Beyond for $5.99 - it is completely adequate for measuring small amounts of food.  It's amazing how my perception of a serving has shifted.  That little scale was totally worth buying!

 I agree tina. I splurged and bought a scale as well and as you say-it has really taught me alot about the volume of "grams". You can look at it as an investment in learning. If you use it alot, after awhile, you may find you are able to acertain volume on your own, when you are not able to use the scale (eating out etc.)
