hey there!

No that isn't that high. that is about 2 and a half servings according to the package i have here. I like nasoya tofu.

infact 79grams ( 1 serving of lite firm tofu has 40 calories) Not back. I usually use about 150 grams or so in a salad for extra proteing...plus its very filling.

So 200grams doesn't seem to be anywhere near a problem :)

Other good low cal sources of healthy protein......( that I love....are chicken and shirataki noodles.)

Hope this helps!!!

okay thanks..... i just thought that mabey eating it each day would be to much soy...... but i hope its not:)

Just make sure you're getting a good variety of other foods as well as the tofu.

That's not a lot of soy a day, no! :] I eat lots of soy and worry about if I eat too much, but I don't have access to many other dairy alternatives, heh. Like jane said, just make sure you get variety from other foods as well. :D

thanks guys..... its just my skin has been breaking out n i though that might be why but i think its cause im gaining wt???

hi spek,

i dont think thats too much soy. i have a lot of soy in my diet (soy strips, packaged soy, soy milk) and it doesnt make me break out-but everyone is different.

when i started recovery my skin broke out a lot too-the more food i was taking in the more my body had to work to expel toxins consumed. even fruits and veggies give off a certain amount of toxins. when your body starts functioning better, which it will as long as you continually give it the nutrients it needs, less toxins will be excreted from your skin.

in short, tofu is good and 200 g is fine. keep eating and your skin will clear up when your body is healthier. :) gaining weight is good! :)

soy is a very common food to cause alergic reactions.. perhaps you are alergic?

I know, I know, you're probably thinking "oh well i've been eating tofu for a long time blah blah" but remember you are VERY underweight, so you were eating tofu just not much of it at all, right? well now this increase is causing your body to react.

stress is a very well known cause for breakouts too... and judging by recent posts i suspect this wieght gain/recovering stresses you out extremely

just keep eating enough.. talk to your doctor, and maybe invest in some proactiv solution (thats what i use.. works wonders!)

thank u all for caring to write!!!

i think it might be hormonal???

i feel really moody?
