What are YOU grateful for?
It has been documented that people who live healthier and longer lives tend to have more positive attitudes. For me, I have always thought it therapeutic to take a moment to remember the good things that are in my life, instead of dwelling on the negative things or what I don‘t have. So I thought it would be a good idea for us to take a moment to write about what is good in our lives and for what we are grateful. Obviously, we have all been blessed with life in general, but what are some other positive things in your life?
I’ll start.
I am grateful for this site and all the women and men who dedicate their wisdom, experience, time and sound advice to those of us who haven‘t "been there yet“.
I love that my I am able to connect with my just about my whole family, even long distance folks and old and friends on Facebook. I haven’t talked to my Uncle Dave in over 25 years.
I love that after 41 years, I have finally found the most warm and caring man I've ever met and married him last year.....
I am grateful for the memories that I have of my Mom and Dad who recently passed six months apart....
I am grateful that I have a wonderful Mother in Law and Father in Law who sincerely love me like I was their own child...
I am grateful that it has been FIVE years and THREE days since my last drop of alcohol...
I am grateful for my baby Shih-Tzu who gives me an unstoppable unconditional love like nothing I've ever experienced....
There are so many more. What are YOU grateful for today?
i walk through a beautiful park in the mornings on my way to work, lately i've decided to try to spend the walk thinking positive things about my life, or about good things i can visualize happening in the future. much better way to start the day than thinking about work or crappy things i have to do.
i'm grateful for:
- my amazing boyfriend
- my family
- my awesome, big, goofy, special dog
- my awesome friends, both IRL here on CC, and the ones i've met here on CC AND IRL!

Life is just plain good, and I am grateful for the chance I have to learn, struggle and grow from those struggles.
Wow! Some things I hadn't even thought of!
Jules! I remember having my own place in several spots. Yes I am SO grateful to have had that chance of complete independence. You will never regret it! I hope a lot of younger women who post here will have this opportunity.
It's so nice to hear some positive things from others. I believe if we continue to focus on the things that we have that are good in life, then the more optimistic we become and we can create some wonderful self-fulfilling prophecies..
I've spent way too much time in life worrying and thinking about everything that others' have instead of appreciating what I have earned and ultimately accomplished...
(Just curious-what is IRL?)
fighting-that's one of the things I am most thankful for-experience and having the ability to learn and grow from those experiences! I haven't been on CC that long and I have also noticed some of the more negative posts...I either help if I can or I simply stay away from them...Thanks for sharing!
I think we should report you to the Mods, you are posting way to many happy threads, you actually might offend people with that attitude around here. Optimistic, pfft!
Ok ok I might just come back later to post something that you asked for, maybe ![]()

TO BE ALIVE.
A childhood friend of mine passed away last year. She was one in a million, couldnt find a nicer girl, and family. My mam and her mam were best friends for years, and I hung around with her in primary school and then in secondary school. Her passing absolutely stunned me, we hadnt talked for a few years, not for any reason...just never saw her around...different friends..hung out different places. She lived life to the full and was so grateful for everything she had.
