Hello fellow readers...
Well a bit about myself,
I live in a full house of 7 people and non of them eats healthy, but myself and the kids I feed. Its so darn hard to hold back on what they order like - fried chicken KFC - Pizza - and all the good food that smells like fastfood....
So I learn to make my meals ahead of time, and I eat/feed the kids before the roomates have their dinner. By that time when they ask me to hav some I have already eatin and im no longer craving for the junk to go into my body.
But I would also like to hear how you deal with problems like this at home?
How do you not cave into the food that we all enjoy eating?
Great group and support from this site...
have a nice day =)
I make my dinner before they order/make dinner. That is the first step. I make sure i am full so that when someone asks me if i want anything i can flat out say no. I schedule something to do after dinner so that i am distracted and don't see/care what they eat. I am probably secretly making them jealous/upset but I can't help that they eat gross food and get no physical exercise.
These are both great ideas. I do the grocery shopping in my household, so I'm able to control most of the junk that comes through the door. But, when they do buy junk and snacks, I'm able to stay away most of the time. It's really hard though, in those moments when I'm upset or craving junk. I find myself giving in and eating some of the crap they buy that --under normal circumstances-- I wouldn't even be interested in.
