Great Low cal dessert I just discovered!
I'm sure im not the first to think of this but here it is. I had some rasberry sugar free jello prepared in the fridge for so i could have if i had a sweet tooth craving. So i came down to get some and i noticed the fat free cottage cheese i had. So i put my self 120g of cottage cheese (70 cals) and 100g of sugar free jello (10 cals) and had a pretty decadent tasting desert It was great and healthy with plenty of protien and no sugar. I could imagine it would be even better with a banana or any other fruit really tossed into. Just thought i would share. I was wondering if anyone else has done something similar. Tough luck if oyu dont like cottage cheese : P
I've got a container of Handy-snack SF chocolate pudding (45 cals), mixed with 10 grams powdered milk, 1/2 cup water, 7 grams almonds and two marshmallows waiting for me in the freezer. Comes to about 162 calories or so. (7 grams of almonds is 7 almonds). If I freeze it, it takes about an hour to eat it. Not exactly like ice cream, but very close. I call it "Mockey Road" chocolate pudding.
mmm that sounds good im thinking it needs peanut butter to i love PB!
this evening i melted 25 chocolate chips (10 grams) (50 calories) in a bowl in the microwave with a few drops of water and then i poured it over a plate of fresh strawberries (approx. 30 calories)
heavenly!!!
i have also heard about people doing this but i have never tried it myself:
taking a can of diet pop (i feel like orange pop or cream soda would be good for this) and freezing the pop and eating it as a frozen treat/popsicle. i'm assuming you would have to pour the pop into an open container first to avoid an explosion disaster. this definitely lacks any sort of nutritional value but it would be calorie-free if done with diet pop!
great for low cal but i wouldn't say healthy, jello is defenitally not healthy. if you really wanted something healthy just take the cottage cheese and add some low cal fresh fruit rather than artifically flavored chemicals
True i actually shy away from most artificial sweetners i dont use splenda or anything and i dont drink died drinks. I agree its not the best but when im craving jiggley goodness that stuff hits the spot. So ya not the healthiest but no ones perfect.
I dont know about my dessert being low cal...it just tastes good...its:
strawberries, blackberries and blueberries over pumkin mix (can) with a sprinkle of raisins and kashi cereal on top
here guys, I will share this with you. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds good.
chocolate cheesecake
any time • 90 minute prep, cool overnight
250 g fat free cottage cheese
½ cup low fat chocolate milk
4 scoops chocolate protein powder
5 heaping tablespoons organic
peanut butter
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a blender, combine cottage cheese
and low fat chocolate milk and blend until creamy and
smooth. Remove from the blender and place into a mixing
bowl. Next, add protein powder and mix thoroughly. Finally,
add in the organic peanut butter, one scoop at a time, blending
until smooth.
Pour the mixture into a small 4-inch ramekin. Fill a deep oven
pan half-full with hot water and place the ramekin inside of the
oven pan so that the water comes approximately half way up
the outside of the ramekin. Place the oven pan containing the
ramekin into the oven and bake for 40-60 minutes, until
slightly firm to the touch.
When finished, pull from the oven and allow to cool for
several hours. When cool to the touch, place in the fridge and
cool over night. Serve cold or at room temperature.
Makes 4 servings.

You can make popcicles with Crystal Light as well.
OP: I sneak in some pb too if I've got the calories.
Here's a great low-cal healthy dessert I made for the first time tonight. It was superyummy and gives pretty decent sized portions. I know it probably sounds a little odd, but the bread doesn't taste or feel remotely bread-y after it absorbs the juices from the berries. I used white bread because of one fussy eater I was feeding, but I think it'd work well with whole wheat or multigrain too.
