Great Shopping Experience!
I noticed Obsidyan went shopping and had an awesome experience..had to share mine. OK, I did blow off my workout to hit the store, but I have NO spring or summer clothes that fit. In fact, the last skirt I wore to work kept spinning around me all day...kind of irritating.
Anyway....I got to B.Moss (a very good professional women's clothing store) and the sales people work with you in the dressing room. I took in a few size 8s and realized I needed 6s. The manager came in and kept bringing me stuff...lots of 6s and they all fit! BUT, the cool thing was that this other lady in the dressing room made two comments that made me want to hug her. Remember, I don't even know her. She first came out and said, "you look good in everything you've tried on! I'm so jealous." What a boost to the ego. Then, later, I had on a skort outfit (I have very muscular and thin legs from cycling) and her comment was "Wow....how did you get legs like that...they look awesome!" I obviously spent a fortune on clothes yesterday....close to $500 and it included everything I tried on. I had to quit trying things on or I would have walked out with the entire store!
So, I really know how it feels to reach your goal and have it acknowledged by others. I feel sooooo great. I overdid the food yesterday cuz I went out. Tonight will be a much different story!
Thanks for listening.

Wow neeners. Good going. Now I am even more determined to ride my bike every chance I get...especially if it will give me great legs one day!
Great Neeners!!! whoo hoo!
You must have been floating on a cloud!! Good for you!
way to go- how great does that feel?
You guys aren't kidding about floating on a cloud. I have to admit...I probably wouldn't have bought half of what I did if it hadn't been for the compliments.
Yup, cycling does great things for the legs....climb hills...best thing!

Thats awesome! Thats been my motivation for this diet rampage I am on...I promised myself I could go shopping as soon as I was down to 112 for a whole week. I got down to 111.5 for 2 days last month, got real excited and got my period...gained back to 116. Today is my first day back to 112...I have 6 more days to STAY here...then I can't wait to reward myself too!! Great job! Wonderful reward...it beats a night out on the town struggling to stay good!
theres nothing better than finding clothes that match your confidence.

LOL neeners!! I would not tell my hubby either.... it sounds like you are close to goal or at your goal weight??
kittykatz....yes, I'm at goal. My original goal was surpassed in January...dropped a few more pounds. I wanted to hit 135 (I'm 5'7") but, I've been stuck around 137 for the past month or so...I believe this is where my body is supposed to be. I'm a size 8...sometimes a 6 depending on the clothes and I feel great. I have energy, I'm eating healthy...I can still have my wine now and again and eat out once a week.....I've been maintaining. So, I'm at goal and feel great! Hence, the shopping trip. I guess I don't feel that bad about the cost because I'm planning on staying at this weight for a while....Like the rest of my life!
Great job! We were just talking about horrid dressing room mirrors yesterday - obvioulsy they had good ones! It feels so good to try something on and not feel like going straight home your so frusterated heh? I am very happy for you and you deserve $500.00 worth of new clothes!! It's an investment - now give your old stuff to Goodwill or something, you won't be needing them anymore!! :)
roxanned....that's exactly where they're going...Goodwill!! Good riddens and I won't be needing them there fat clothes any more!
